Pours clear and clean amber with an average, fizzy, off-white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, straw, lightly toasted grain, caramel), heavy hops (pine, flowers, perfume), average yeast (sweat, dough) with notes of apple, pear, and wood. Medium to full bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter, dry finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. WolfsBlood84 (103), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 25, 2007 22 oz. Bomber - A friend and I went to FFF’s brewpub on our brewery tour. We bought the first bottle of this season (Nov. 1). Pours a cloudy, hazy orange/amber color with great nearly white head. Aroma is incredible - very fresh smelling hops paired with all different kinds of citrus and other fruits topped off with a grassy/woodsy-ness. Fantastic. Flavor is nearly the same just a bit more subdued. Definitely one to seek out! Tilley4 (218), Huron, Tennessee, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Everything I could ask for in an IPA. Very hoppy yet balanced. Very crisp aroma of fresh hops, extremely pleasant. I couldn’t get my nose out of the glass.
I had been waiting to have this one and it didn’t disappoint. Simply amazing.
Wonderful fresh hop taste, a bit sweet with a nice bitterness to the finish.
This is one of the top IPAs out there. I wish I could get this in Tn. It was worth the drive to Indiana to pick this up. Simply wonderful. jcr (1190), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 22, 2007 Outstanding — more complex, more balanced and more interesting than most IPAs. Small, off-white head atop a hazy light amber body. Big aroma of citrus, orange, grapefruit and lime. Notes of pine and pineapple. The flavor is light to moderately sweet, moderately bitter and lightly acidic. Medium body with a sticky texture. Juicy mouthfeel, like drinking a citrus/orange juice cooler. Dry finish. Comfortable carbonation. Very drinkable. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 22, 2007 22 oz. bottle: Coppery colored pour with a ring of foam. The nose is really fresh hops, bright and distinct. Sweet grapefruit, rose petal perfume and fresh oranges and tangerines. The body starts perfectly bitter, with loads more fresh hops to follow. A light caramel notes keeps the hop onslaught in check. Very easy to drink and perfectly balanced. This is a great IPA. cbkschubert (2017), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 22, 2007 22 oz. bottle via trade with Ughsmash - Pours a clear copper color with a one finger thick off white head. Light bubbly carbonation. Very light spotty lacing. Has that typical killer 3F’s aroma. Floral, tropical fruit, citrus, and faint pine. Flavor is mostly hops, fruity esters, and lightly sweetened toasted malt. No lingering aftertaste. A big plus in my book. Medium body. I could drink this all day, every day. An excellent beer. Thanks Jason. TomDecapolis (3209), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 19, 2007 Much thanks to ogglethorp for answering my call for this one in a trade. Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium creamy off white bubbly/creamy head that left nice lacing. Aroma of pine, caramel, floral notes and some mixed citrus Flavor of fresh hops...wow...love that wet hop flavor and it is really showcased in this beer. Some iced tea notes, floral hints and a touch of citrus and pine. Malt notes are mostly caramel and not overly sweet. Bitterness is there but really almost takes a back seat to the hop flavor. Very happy I had a chance to try this one.
