Unclear golden color with a white head. Aroma contains hops and some fruits. Flavor is more mild than I expected, but then that could be because I smashed a Pliny right before drinking this one. But as far as Harvest Ales, I think I prefer the SN Harvest over this.

This one poured a nice orangish color with a pretty big fluffy white head. Aroma was lots of bittering hops, some pine and some sweetness as well. Flavor was really bitter, some fresh wet pine cones mixed in, all melding and calmed down by a sweet slightly burnt maltiness and then the memorable 3F finish flavor. I feel that this bottle was a bit old and was still damn good!

Bottle 65cl. @ Papsoes blindtasting. [ Bottle #15. ]
Unclear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, good - fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090501]

Bottle. Poured a hazy, light amber with almost pink hues and a thin off-white head. Aroma is tropical fruit, light citrus and some caramel. Medium bodied with soft to medium carbonation. Flavor is fresh hops and more tropical fruit. Somewhat dry mildly bitter finish. I really liked this one. Thanks Rob!

My first experience with the vaunted Three Floyds, acquired in a trade. Hazy amber pour with a moderate bisque head. Aroma was hefty on fresh citrus fruit: grapefruit and orange mostly with maybe some pineapple. Some nice malt in there as well, excellent balance. Flavor is more malt-centric due to the bottle being a little old, but the citrus comes through as well. I can only imagine how this would have tasted fresh, but it was still delicious a little older.

Bottle from Binny’s, and it wasn’t cheap. To top it off, I found out it was 9 months old after I bought it. Pours a hazy amber with a two fingers off white head. The aroma is strong with tropical fruit esters and malt, and a hint of hops (obviously faded). Medium bodied with the carbonation between soft and average. The flavor is caramel and toffee countered by tame orange, pineapple, and grapefruit. The hops have faded, but bring out the sweetness. This is not actually that bad, like a weaker American Strong. Sure the hops are duiled, but it brings out more of the citrus and malt. I will make sure my bro gets me a fresh bottle,. because I bet this kicks ass fresh. However, this does not suck at 9 months unless you hate residual sweetness or expect more fresh hop bitterness.

22oz bottle from shawnm213, thanks Shawn!. Very nice dark orange color with a decent, somewhat lasting white head. Still a very nice citrusy hop aroma, it still has that fresh "green" aroma. Pretty mild flavor, a bit thin maybe, with a bit of hop bite in the finish, the finish is short lived though, still good though.
