argo0 (6145), Washington DC, USA Dec 13, 2007 (22oz bottle, thanks BBB63) Crystal clear amber body topped by medium off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, grapefruit/pine. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, pine/orange. Medium body, chewy, light acidity. CaptainCougar (4624), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 15, 2007 Pours a clear copper orange with a spotty lacing wispy white head. Crisp, lightly sweet and big piny hoppy nose is very inticing. Body starts semi-sweet and very hoppy with a fresh grapefruit and piny hop flavor throughout. Finishes crisp, refreshing and incredibly drinkable with good fresh hop character throughout. A very nice IPA. hopdog (4525), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 12, 2007 22oz bottle acquired in trade with Sephiroth (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of pine, citrus, fresh green hops, earthy, and just all around nice hoppiness. Tastes of pine, citrus, caramel, pineapples, and floral hops. Bitter with a nice balance. Tastes where good, but feel a little short of the awsome aroma. Cornfield (4255), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Dec 20, 2006 From the tap this poured a clear copper body with a dense off-white head that did some chunky lacing. The aroma is full of citric and floral hops, making the malt wait its turn until the flavor. The malt is light, sweet and fruity and the hop bitterness turns to the floral and lasts long into the finish. Pretty decent, but I think that Alpha King, their so-called Pale Ale, tastes hoppier.
