An old rating i finally got to entering. Aroma wash of straight hops. Seemed like every kind possible. Citrus, pine, earthiness, spice. Flavor was pretty hoppy and very very bitter. I wish this was year round and i cant believe its only 5.5 %. The aggressive hops could easily make like place this at 8 or 9%.

Totally awesome beer. I got in a bottle from Kahn’s fine wines in INdianapolis, IN. Smell is of amarillo hops. The pour is nice and thick. The taste is angled towards the hops with some nice crisp malt. One of their best. To me, this is easier to drink than alpha king as it doesn’t have the hop harshness from the chinook.

Everything I could ask for in an IPA. Very hoppy yet balanced. Very crisp aroma of fresh hops, extremely pleasant. I couldn’t get my nose out of the glass. I had been waiting to have this one and it didn’t disappoint. Simply amazing. Wonderful fresh hop taste, a bit sweet with a nice bitterness to the finish. This is one of the top IPAs out there. I wish I could get this in Tn. It was worth the drive to Indiana to pick this up. Simply wonderful.

who-we. I know theres a better way to spell that, but you get the picture. Nose of huge and delicous hop. Fantastic citrus with a nice but slight malt backbone. One of my favorite beers of the year for sure. Wish I had more. Might have to go get more.

Holy god was this hoppy. If I had to pick one beer that I "might" say was too hoppy for me, it would have been this. Anyhow, it has a great fresh earthy hop to it, and at 5.5% you can drink a lot of it. It was very good. Bottle 11/16/07: I’ve been wanting to get back to this beer for a while now, and it was so worth the wait. Clear light copper with a white head, some light lacing. Aroma, pine needles, grapefruit, orange, resinous notes. Flavor, citrus and pine, grapefruit, juicy hop notes, a wonderful bitter punch to it, with a great lingering bitterness on the finish. Dry, with only background malt flavors. I could drink this every day.

Wow - couldn’t believe my eyes when I found five bottles (2007)... bought them all. Pours dark orange, nice head, lots of lacing on the glass. Hops would be the key word, very fresh, citrus (grapefruit or pomelo), pine, resin. Would be interesting to compare with Dreadnaught in a taste-off. Awesome beer, long live 3F.
