| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Bottle: Poured a dirty amber color ale with a quite large foamy head with good retention and very good lacing. Aroma of earthy hops and dry caramel malt with nice overtones of floral hops. Taste is also dominated by earthy hops with floral undertones and some dry caramel malt backbone which is well balanced in support of all the hops. Body is quite full with great carbonation. Very well done and not a full hops assault as this brewery seems to do very well but a more balanced approach which is very efficient.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bottle. Grapefruit/tangerine hops and light caramel malt aroma. Hazy amber color with small head. Bittersweet tangerine rind and very light but smooth malt flavor. Fairly light body. SHANER4 (383), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 19, 2009 Bottle 22oz. - Poured clear light copper color and had sudsy off white head.
Aroma - Initial citrus, grapefruit scent, followed quickly with grassy hebal hops.
Flavor - I taste the simcoe hops right away, they have this earthy moss/bark taste. Also alot of citrus and grapefruit taste.
Palate - light/medium bodied, texture is somewhat sticky. Carbonation is average and finish is astingent and lasts awhile!!
Overall - Great tasting IPA, I like that pungent hops on the tongue and lingering aftertaste. FFF knows how to make an IPA!!!! pineypower (1104), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Thanks to JDSkinns for this bottle. Pours out a slightly cloudy light orange color with a thin white head. Aroma is of pine and grapefruit hops and some fruitiness. Taste is complex and full bodied for only the 5.5% ABV. Flavors of grapefruit and other citric hop flavors mix with some tropical fruit notes and a slightly dry finish. Another well done brew from 3F. dmac (1500), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Dec 13, 2009 22 oz bottle thanks to Pineypower for sharing. Poured a hazed orange body with an average sized bubbly white head. Aroma starts of fruity with lots of apricot, mango, citrus rind, earth and dirty grains. The flavor has a good amount of earth and dirty citrus rind along with strong grain notes. Full bodied with a chewy mouthfeel and average carbonation. Really nice stuff and is far more full bodied and complex in aroma and flavor then the 5.5% would lead one to think. blutt59 (2167), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 10, 2009 bottle, pulpy orange brown pour with lots of foam, aroma of crystal sugar and grapefruit, has a nice citrus and malty flavor like Dread but more refined due to the alcohol, nice beer OzarkElmo (131), Poplar Bluff, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 10, 2009 From 22 0z bottle to tulip. Pours a deep, murky orange-amber with moderate off-white head. Aroma of light malt (caramel/bread) with much heavier hop presence - pine, peach, orange, honey. Moderate lacing lingering through finish. A very bitter beer through long finish - also a bit salty and sour. Oily resin throghout - very good but can’t help it if I’d rather have their Alpha King. porterhouse (1162), Alna, Maine, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 28, 2009 (22 oz. bottle via trade with pantanap, thanks Kan!) Pours hazy gold-amber with a tallish resiny-looking off-white head that recedes to a big, sloppy resiny cap. Aroma of big-time pine and citrus with sticky caramel and vanilla underneath. Smooth but lightly prickly palate. Big, sticky, sloppy sheets of lacing cling to the inside of the shaker and don’t let go. Flavor of big, bitter pine/citrus overlaying caramel-vanilla malt. Bitter, very bitter. Very hop-forward. Lingering bitter and light pine aftertaste. Hops are a bit abrasive, otherwise I’d give this a bit higher rating. beerbill (1973), Laurel, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 26, 2009 22 oz. bottle from the NP10V4 courtesy of tjthresh. Pours a hazy golden amber with a moderate linen white head that lasted through mid-glass and left a complete coating of lace with each sip. Very pleasant aroma of grapefruit along with some sweet malt. Often times for me, this is followed by bitter pith over-the-top bitterness. Thankfully, this is not the case with this beer. The flavor has a solid malt backbone with some caramel sweetness followed by some fruity grapefruit hops that while bitter, is not excessive. Medium-full bodied. Very enjoyable beer, thanks for sending this one, Tom!
