Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jan 3, 2008 12oz bottle(11/99)-A nice golden body with a decent white head and an aroma of slight hops and malt. Taste of the same with a slight malt body and a bitter back end. Not the best pilsner but not the worst. RSRIZZO (1332), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Dec 1, 2007 Had this beer on 12/20/1999. Aroma is a crisp light hop scent. Color is a pale gold with a slight haze. Carbonation is good with a light head. Taste is light, crisp and clean. Starting with a light/medium body it goes down crisp with a light malt flavor. Finish is a lightly spicy hop taste and a crisp bitterness. Overall it has much more flavor and body than a beer like Bud, but is still lacking something. Driftwood6 (214), USA Apr 11, 2007 I realize this is a retired beer, but I was at Three Floyds brewpub sometime last year and had this pilsener on tap. Definitely not true to style-- had the 3F hop profile. I thought it was ok, my buddy just loved it-- and he’s a Dreadnaught fiend. Like all 3F beers, tasted fresh on tap. Glad we started with this one, because after drinking Dreadnaught and Behemoth my buddy had one more pilsener at the end of the night and it tasted like water. Taste buds were fried. railcat1 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA May 16, 2006 had it along time a go a refreshing beer thah was put to rest.now they make hop heaven beerCHEERS sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 7, 2006 had this a long time ago. was my least favorite of a few three floyds i had at the time, perhaps because pilseners are so common. not very representative of FFF either. like zeswaft, including only for my records Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA May 13, 2005 i had this back in the day. i dont remember much of it other than it was pretty good for a pilsener and not like the other hoppy three floyds brews. i’m simply including this for my records YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA Mar 7, 2005 A nice surprise. Noah found two bottles of this and brought it to a tasting. Poured a nice golden color with a small white head. Let’s see, what’s that aroma? Three Floyds? Must be hops. Yes. Hops, malt, sweetness. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Flavor was crisp and refreshing and full. Hops, malt, fruit. Thanks, Noah. beerhugger (541), Oshawa, Ontario, Canada Mar 2, 2005 You could tell it was past its prime but it was still a pleasant beer. Sweet cookie-dough malt aromas with a mixed malt/hop taste. Finish had a touch of bitterness and was pretty clean. Well past when it should be drank, this 2 year old bottle was nice.
