| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 17, 2003 A very good pilsener. Pours a clear pale gold, with a relatively lively white head, which died about three quarters of the way through. Aroma is very authentic, with spicy hops and a light crispiness. Flavor is definitely above average, with agressive hops carrying over a light bodied maltiness. Beer is very effervescent, which I don't normally enjoy except in the case of a pilsener. I'm a fan, and I wish this was available in CT. Very true to the style, and very well done besides. On the same level as the Victory Prima Pils Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 20, 2003 Pours with a golden body topped by a thin to medium thick quickly disappearing head that leaves a good amount of lace behind. Slightly sour/bitter hop aroma with a hint of fruity sweetness. Slightly sweet hoppy flavor with a good maltiness beneath. The finish is sweet with a touch of bitterness. Smooth, light bodied with a touch of dryness. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2003 Light golden color, small fast-diminishing head. Fresh grassy-malty nose, not a whole lot going on there. Flavor is again fresh, reminiscent of the meadow, but not terribly strong or memorable. Excellent body as I've come to expect from 3Fs. I may be underrating this in my current half-conscious state, so I will definitely put it on my list of try-agains. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

It is very balanced. Last night I had a Pilsner Urquell on tap, this is a whole lot better. When I was at 3 Floyds, Nick said they are going to quit selling this one, and move on to another Pilsner. I hope its as good as this one. JPDIPSO (4928), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 26, 2002 Golden color with a light white head that is quite unstable. Hint of noble hops and malt in the aroma. Crisp hops flavor with a touch of malt. Perhaps a bit thin for a czech, but only slightly. Solid effort. Kodos (200), USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 24, 2002 Golden. Crisp, clean and refreshing. IMO, a better Pils than many Czech examples. Doesn’t hurt to get it fresh either. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2002 This was a great pilsner-right up there with prima pils from victory. The appearance and aroma was that of a pale ale, but the palate was huge malt and saaz hops in the finish-wonderful!!! the best pilsner out there. For a while, i thought that maybe somebody bottled the Extra pale ale or something in this bottle that i sampled.
