On tap at Three Floyds and served in a pint glass. This beer poured a mildy hazy golden with a thin head of fizzy white foam. A decent amount of light lacing was left behind. The aroma included sweet malts, light toast, and some mild citrus. The flavor was much the same with a slightly citrusy, crisp finish. The mouthfeel was light-bodied and easy drinking with moderate carbonation. A nice, clean and refreshing summer drink.

For how many times I have been to FFF, I had still never seen this on tap or in a bottle. Glad to finally be able to try it. I thought this a good beer, but I think Kolsch is a pretty boring style. Nice to have during the summer though. Pours a hazy blond with a thin white head. Light body, little malt and hop flavor, well balanced.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a slightly hazy softly carbonated and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty and dirty sock. The mild crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The smooth malty quafable flavor contained crisp notes of butter malt and hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

tap at brewery before DLD 07, found this note hidden away, pours a clear gold copper, citrus aroma, light and smooth and sessionable, a good grab and fun try.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy orangey blonde color with a thin white head. Decent aroma and flavor of hay and citrus with an astringent finish. The body is light and oily while the carbonation is soft. Well done for a not too exciting style.

Pretty average for FFF’s. Cloudy? golden pour with thin head. Aroma of yeast and light malt. Easy drinking, but boring.

On tap: Finally got to try this as the last two times I was in there were problems with the kegs or so I was told. Looks nice with a coppery hue topped by a frothy head and produced very good lacing. The aroma has notes of vanilla wafers, herbal and grassy hops, crab-apple, plastic, diacetyl, and yeast esters...hum? The taste was sweet and fruity with a Vienna like malt character finishing with mild noble hop bitterness which led to an acidic aftertaste. Additionally I got some butterscotch and metallic off-flavors which makes me believe that something is wrong once again with this brew. The mouth feel is not as crisp or refreshing as I would have liked, too syrupy and harsh. This is just not too style (not that ever mattered with FFF) and in this case it should be, disappointing.

Draft at the brewpub. Aroma: Light grainy maltiness, green apple, and a light vinousness. Noble hop aroma is slightly spicy. Appearance: Medium gold in color and fairly clear. Off-white head was small and frothy, but diminished rapidly. No lacing. Flavor: Light malt sweetness, white grapes, and noble hops. Hops are floral and spice. Finishes fairly clean. Palate: Light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Was missing the slight tart finish a good kolsch should have. Overall: A good starter beer to warm you up for the other 3F offerings, but pretty uninteresting on its own.
