chicagodri (473), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 29, 2008 For how many times I have been to FFF, I had still never seen this on tap or in a bottle. Glad to finally be able to try it. I thought this a good beer, but I think Kolsch is a pretty boring style. Nice to have during the summer though. Pours a hazy blond with a thin white head. Light body, little malt and hop flavor, well balanced.
djcoolhark (21), South Bend, Indiana, USA Aug 8, 2008 Had on tap a couple of days ago. Good for a Kolsch, disappointing for FFF. The moment I tried this, I said to myself "This is not Three Floyds material." A good beer, but if there’s other FFF to choose, this one should be put aside. SQNfan (436), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jul 27, 2008 On tap at the brewpub: Slightly cloudy and yellow in color with a thin white head. The aromas and flavors were on the soft side lacking the typical FFF concentration. 1_2many (220), Ohio, USA Jul 22, 2008 On tap at brewpub. I haven’t had many kolsches but I think this is the best so far. Slightly hazy yellow, small white head. Doughy yeast aroma. Basically sweet and smooth. One of the lighter brews from these guys but still good. mdm46410 (554), Griffith, Indiana, USA Jun 29, 2008 On tap at Three Floyds and served in a pint glass. This beer poured a mildy hazy golden with a thin head of fizzy white foam. A decent amount of light lacing was left behind. The aroma included sweet malts, light toast, and some mild citrus. The flavor was much the same with a slightly citrusy, crisp finish. The mouthfeel was light-bodied and easy drinking with moderate carbonation. A nice, clean and refreshing summer drink.
