This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a very hazy dark orange colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy and floral. The mouth feel was "Oh My God! What an initial hop rush!" very strongly tingly at the start and at the finish with a biting hoppy aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and strong floral hop pineyness in a deep malt base. A wonderful best in class brew.

nice tinted amber, IPA nose, surprised by the lack of amarillo, I thought they put ’em in everything. Very tasty, and a nice full body to back up the ibus. scrumptious.

On tap at the FFF brewpub. Pours a hazy golden orange with a medium creamy/bubbly white lacing head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, cereal grains, Cheerios, fruity and a grainy maltiness. Flavor of grapefruit, mango, pine, caramel, lemon, great malt/hop balance, tropical fruits and on the dry side. Less sweet maltiness going on when held up against the Alpha King and Dreadnaught.

I loved the Transformers as a kid, so my rating might be biased... Light malt aroma--not much hops really. Medium to full for an IPA. Orange in color with a decent head. Nice caramel malt flavor, citrus tastes, and hops behind it all. Nice balance--that’s right, you heard me. Remember that this is not a double or imperial, and I think that helps.

Notes from Dark Lord Day ’07. On tap at the brewpub. Hazy light golden with a 1/2 finger off-white head. There was some slight skunk that I picked up on, however I didn’t feel that this was bad. Pine, grass, hay and some herbal grapefruit are the hops to the biscuity malts. Flavor is much the same with a little more biscuity malts. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Very good IPA, but not really like most others that I’ve had.

Slightly hazed straw yellow with not much of a white head. Big sweet fruity gummy bear nose. Tropical fruit sort of hops. A big wonderful sweet juiciness to the hop character rather than an over the top bitterness. I would argue this isn’t balanced, but that’s not a bad thing at all. Full creamy mouth with nice smooth relatively subdued bubbles. Fruity full succulent hops. A bit of a wheaty estery character perhaps? A creamy finish, with those gummy bears certainly returning.
