<i>Notes from Dark Lord Day ’07. On tap at the brewpub.</i> Hazy light golden with a 1/2 finger off-white head. There was some slight skunk that I picked up on, however I didn’t feel that this was bad. Pine, grass, hay and some herbal grapefruit are the hops to the biscuity malts. Flavor is much the same with a little more biscuity malts. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Very good IPA, but not really like most others that I’ve had.

Drank at Three Floyd’s Brewing Company during the 2007 Dark Lord Day Big scents and flavors of hops. It was drier than most Three Floyd’s beers as it did not show much malt at all. While less IBU’s than the Dreadnaught &#40;~75 vs. 100&#41; it appeared more bitter and hoppy. Overall, a very nice beer though somewhat similar to many other top notch IPA’s.

Yeah. Why not? It’s there when Dread Naught isn’t. A bit crisper than the Stone version, and less violently bitter than the AleSmith rendition. But mostly: why not?

Aroma is a nice hoppy scent. Color is an orange/brown with good carbonation and nice head. Taste is a mild sweet malt flavor backed buy a mellow hop flavor and finishes with a mild bitterness. Its a good Pale Ale.
