Commercial Description:
Our take on a traditional Berliner weiss. A slightly tart and refreshing wheat beer, low in alcohol and often served with a flavored syrup.

I had mine naked. Not as sour and sharp as real examples from Berlin, but nicely done (you don’t see too many attempts at this style). Light and refreshing. I had some blackberry syrup (I think it was blackberry) added and it was so sweet and fruity, I’d guess it not to be a beer had I not known! Fun stuff...

Tap @ brewery. Sort of a novice @ the time. Didnt have any idea what the hell a Berliner weiss was & declined the syrup. very tart, sour & shocking to my palate at the time. Hopefully can rerate after enjoying DFH Festina Peche recently

Tap (without syrup). Slightly sour wheat aroma. Cloudy dark amber color with moderate head. Slightly sour wheat aroma with the merest hint of berry. Nice body. Not as sour as its Berlin brethren but a nice beer.

On tap at 3 Floyds with none of the flavoring added. Pours clear golden with a thick, white head. Wheat, lemon and a hint of banana in the nose. Flavor is lemony with notes of wheat, banana, very light caramel and some slight citric acidity and sourness. Spritzy carbonation similar to that of a soda or seltzer. Enjoyable.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a hazy uncarbonated orange brown colored body and a very good thick lacing. The mild aroma was malty astringent and dough. with a mellow hoppy aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and dough. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

Draught during my Great Lakes region brew tour. Bartender offered to add a syrup before she poured, I declined. The goblet came to me filled with a light mahogany beer which sported a very bubbly white head. Wheat runs rampant in the sour aroma with pear and cardboard. This is very thin and sour in the mouth with plenty of gritty wheat present. Very watery overall and not too enjoyable. It seems kind of silly to make a beer that needs to be flavored with the use of syrup to taste good, but I’m no Berliner so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Now, moving on to a slightly more robust offering. . .
