Bottle poured in to an English pint. Pours dark brown with some mahogony edges. A thick tan head settles to a thin layer. The nose seems like any ordinary brown ale. We have a bunch of nutty character with some highly toasted and caramel malts. There also seems to be plenty of a hop nose. There’s a bit more going on with the flavor. Its big and malty with toast and roast and chocolate sith some nice fruits and big bitterness. Medium, yet substantial body with high carbonation. Semisweet finish.

Bomber from FlssmrBrewAlum. Thanks Adam! Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma is roasted and caramel malts, chocolate, wood and some dark fruits. Flavor is chocolate and roasted malts, wood, caramel and some fruit. Alcohol comes through in the end. Pretty solid imperial brown but nowhere near as complex as DFH Palo Santo. Palo Santo has more of a red wine and wood complexity that this brew is lacking.

My bottle [22oz] shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow, jerc & mabel. Pours a very dark brown with an average size foamy tan head. Aroma of light roasted malt, a bit of red wine, some chocolate and wood. Flavour of caramel malt, light wood, chocolate and fruit. Lightly bitter, slightly alcoholic finish. Average to medium bodied. A fine beer but I thought it would be better, still good though.

bottle at coles dogfish tasting- nice chocolatey smoothness, some roast malt- some signature floyds yeast and/or fruity hop characteristic- great label, and a nice beer.

Bottle from Cole’s Dogfish tasting: Dark mahogany color with virtually no head. Wood, chocolate, and some dark fruit aromas. Chocolate malts, with a woody astringency, sweet caramel malts and some plum like fruitiness. Finishes dry and woody. Similar to Dogfish Palo Santo.

Pours dark brown with a thin brown head. The aroma is milk chocolate and roasted malt with a touch of leafy hops and berries. Flavor is smooth and roasted with wood coming through strong in the finish. Kind of thin/medium bodied. Very sweet, chocolaty, nutty and woody. Not bad. A little weird.

BVottle @ Coles DFH Tasting, Buffalo NY> Darker brown pour. Chocolatety aroma with notes of dried fruit. Taste is chocolate, roasted malts, sweet maltiness. Fuller mouthfeel. Slight burn on the palate. Pretty good

Bottle @ Cole’s Dogfish Fest. Brown body, no head. Nose is cocoa, roasty malt, some hop, dark fruit. Flavor is more of that roasty malt, a hint of burnt malts, tart but rich plum and very solid bitterness. Roast & burnt dark fruits in the finish with some mineral/chalk character.
