Pours a deep brownish black color with a minimal head. Aroma is hersheys syrup and almonds. Flavor is chocolate and bready malts, along with ripe toffee prune fruits. Earthy notes in here as well. Nice medium to full body. Cocoa finish. Alcohol is not noticeable at all, this stuff could creep up on you. I’m impressed, this is a solid beer.

Aroma of chocolate, caramel, wood and a bit of sour cherry funk. The flavor is pretty much equal parts sweet malt, hop and roasty bitterness, and a tart sourness. Medium to full body with lively carbonation and a long finish. This is a very unique beer, thanks Eric for giving me the chance to try this. AgentSteve (1377), SF Bay Area, California, USA

Aroma is malts, chocolate, caramel, touches of fruit. Flavor is malts, dried fruits, touches of malts, touches of roast, oak character. Reminded me of the fantastic Palo Santo, which isn’t surprising since it’s the using the same barrels to age. Beer2000 (1828), Kristiansand, Norway
