| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jun 30, 2009 light amber pour, dissipating head. potent citrus grapefruit aroma. a little bit biscuity and bitter in the end. Delving.....Mouth is syrupy, hops penetrate my taste buds. sweet malts and some peach and orange notes are abundant. The citrus hops abound but are matched but the sweet malt. Complex layers of malt, fruit and hops. Fantastic, the hopping doesnt blow me away but the balance between the hop and the malt is perfection. The finish is what seals the deal for me. lingering sweetness and some peach stick on my tongue for what seems an eternity. Epic. oteyj (724), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Dark amber pour with a small off white head. Aroma is riddled with nectar fruits, citrus and some caramel malt. Resinous, piney, floral, and fruity. Every hop facet covered. Flavors are pronounced and defined. Starts with sweet herbal caramel and toffee malt, slowly subsiding into a nectar-like fruity and floral note. Pine spruce and resin take up the very middle of the body. Palate is thick and heavy, sitting on the tongue and refusing to leave. Very dry, very resinous finish. A great example of the style. craftycarl21 (523), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Pours a dark copper with a very small head. Aroma is extremely citrusy, with lots of orange, lemon, and even some peach, which mixes with a sweet caramel malt. Flavor is immensely complex, with tons of citrus ideas, along with pine and floral notes. Absolute hop bomb, and I love every minute of it. Palate is sticky sweet and resinous; intense, perfect. Great brew. bhensonb (4240), Woodland, California, USA

Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a small white head. Strong citric aromas. Really thick body with mild, near creamy, carbonation. Flavor is really floral/citrus over roasted caramel. It’s very hoppy, but the caramel is detectable. Goes down very smooth. Leaves a bitter burn behind. Incredibly good beer. Good reason to live in Munster. darkguardian (506), Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2009 22oz bottle from Ryan. Pours with a thick white head. Burnt Yellow color with a big peach/tangerine nose. Flavor is nicely bittered and very hoppy. Some malt backbone but its lacking the strong hop flavor or strong malt flavor. Very good and very well made but not as amazing as its ratings indicate. Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2009 Bottle courtesy of rustychiles. Pours looking like Bud at first. In the glass definitely something more. A deeper amber with a decent sized pillowy white head. Aroma is deeply complex American hops - lots of citrus, grapefruit, candy malt sweetness, Hops come across spicier than expected - some Chinook and Amarillo in the flavoring perhaps. This is a half-decent DIPA. Too much residual sweetness and too much bittering vs. flavoring/aroma/dry hops. Not sure how fresh this is. Probably would have been better fresh with the hops balancing out the sweetness.
