bellmyer (41), EAST MOLINE, Illinois, USA Oct 6, 2008 22oz bottle from the brewery. She comes out in a nice cloudy burnt orange. Decent head fades rather quickly but carbonation keeps bubbling from the bottom. Aroma is hops hops hops and some malt. Lovely smell, there’s some fruit in there too. She tastes of hops hops hops and fresh fruit. Solid taste with a lot going on. Slight warm of alcohol finish. Lasting mouthfeel, I can still taste it. Mmm that’s good. Lacing is there but not much to talk about. Excellent brew, A+++ will drink again rederic (1785), montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 3, 2008 Amber-orangeish color, with a fluffy white, leaving laces, candied orange peel nose with a nice apricot flowery hop accent, with some cedary, coniferous, resiny pine niddle notes and a hint of hemp leafiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, toasty malt, candied apricot, orange peel, marmalade character, than wow!! a nice flowery hop lush conefirous, cedary, resiny, pine niddle flavor, kind concentrated hoppy pallet , but well balanced with a mellow sweetness, leading towards a citrus, lemony, lime, cedary, leafy hop bitterness finish. taalhiker (179), Dayton, Ohio, USA Sep 29, 2008 From bottle. Part of April Dayton Beertasting event. Pours cloudy orange color huge head. Aroma of citrus and pine.
Tastes include juniper, cloves and grapefruit. Long lasting finish. Great effort..... paytoplay (122), , California, USA Sep 29, 2008 Impressive brew, not as aromatic or full bodied and texture, and the finish was Ok. But very complex and interesting from the 1st taste. Hops are complex, a friend said "Stone IPA", which isn’t a bad thing. Bottled seemed fresh. I have several more and look forward to trying again and again as this brew isn’t around So Cal. Defreni (994), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 18, 2008 Flaske.
Fantastisk lækker øl. ygtbsm94 (12), Ellicott City, Maryland, USA Sep 15, 2008 After having this brew several times in the past year thought I should put a rating in for this fabulous IPA. 22oz bomber pours a hazy, dark coppery color with thin white foam that left a small amount of lace. Aroma had hints of resinous pine, lush citrus fruits, and sweet malts. The carbonation is low to medium & the body is full. The taste is a balanced mouthful of a creamy, malty, sweet finish, along with an unbelievable, intense hoppy flavor and bitterness equaled by the intensity of the richness of full bodied mega malt. This definitely is one of the best IPA’s I have to date. I could drink this stuff all night!! gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 10, 2008 Bottle, at BA Throwdown #2. Thank you gillard. I...I love you. Clear golden colored pour, creamy white head, very sticky lacing. Huge on hops in the nose, oily, citrus is big, malts come through eventually. Very tasty citrus flavors, vanilla, some maple, full of pine and some surprising toasted notes. Very drinkable, smooth full body that masks the alcohol well. bbobb (8), , Indiana, USA does not count Sep 7, 2008 From 22oz bottle. A little expensive. Hazy amber color. Off white head. Nice hop taste with hint of citrus.
