Commercial Description:
A hophead’s dream beer. This Imperial India Pale Ale has an opening salvo of mango, peach and citrus hop aromas that sit atop a pronounced caramel malt backbone. Although Dreadnaught is a strong and intensely hoppy ale, its complex flavors is both smooth and memorable. 9.5% ABV, 100 IBUs.

IBUs are off the charts! bitterness clobbers you over the head, finally overwhelming the delicious american hops FFF makes its trademark. whereas in an alpha king or similar fare the bright sharp citrus nose is more prevelant, here it has been cut down to size by a puckering bitterness thats nearly second to none. like any good IIPA, its impossible to believe that this is nearing 10%, this is so damn delicious i would drink this until i passed out or died a luscious and plesant death by hops.

Bottle. Poured an amber color with a nice thick white head. A ton of lacing. Aroma is very powerful and hoppy. Very nice mouthfeel for an IIPA. Flavor is really hoppy, but not overpowering (in a good way). This is a very tasty beer, with a nice citrus kick to it and a pleasant aftertaste. Quite possibly my second favorite IIPA (after Hopslam).

Nice orange pour with a wonderful fruit, pine and citrus aroma!!!!! Outstanding peach flavor and superb finish. This needs to be in every house hold and the world would be a more peaceful place.

Bottle. A dark orange beer with no head. The aroma is very hoppy, sweet, and oily. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy and it has a very dry hoppy end. A very nice beer.

Bottle x3 or so. Pours a amber orange body with little head. Aroma is citrus, peach, floral notes. Huge hop character that destroys your palate. Almost a bit soapy. This beer is huge they could have probably stuck a few more abv points in here.

bottle. great spring floral aroma with some sort of citrus fruit, hard to put my finger on it. Cloudy, golden orange color, no carbonation, very small white head. nearly impossible to fully describe the flavor, tons of hops, a 3fs malty flavor only evident in the finish for a breif instant, then a long bitter citrus hop linger, i get a slight mango flavor right at the beginning, smooth all the way, but still a kick in the face. This is one crazy beer. great.

Bottle. Pours a golden orange with small head which diminishes in a snifter. Perfect 10 for aroma on this one, I could be happy smelling this all day - peaches/apricots, honey, sweet pine, citrus...amazing. Taste almost as good as aroma with sweet malt, peaches, and honey followed/balanced by perfect hops and grapefruit finish. Sweet but not as sweet as say 90 minute or hopslam. The most pleasant and pleasing IIPA I’ve had, and for that matter the best I’ve had.

Bottle courtesy Kmeves. Pours a nice amber copper color with a thick white head. Perfect carbonation. Lots of citrusy, pine aroma balanced by a nice amount of malt. Really hoppy, grapefruit juice taste with some malt peaking through. A big grapefruit dryness, also, that comes through a lot in the aftertaste. Dry hoppy bitter with a sneaky alcohol content, wow I liked this.
