Pours a nice amber with a creamy light head. Lots of pine hops and grapefruit in the aroma. Nice sweet citrus malty flavor with a big hop finish. Very nice. ajm (917), Los Angeles, California, USA

Great sweet orange notes with very floral qualities. No pine, peel or burn. Great work, Nick! AskForJenny (632), Ontario, New York, USA

Hops, booze and cloves on nose. Sweet, minty palate. Different in a good way, but a little to sweet for the style. bwkrieger (14), Lisle, Illinois, USA

Aweosme sticky piney aroma, reminds me of college. Grapefuit and apricot comes through on the palate and the body is dense and full. Finish makes me want more. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Huge thanks to kmeves for this bottle. This is something I should probably share with my local RBeerians...but damn, it is just too nice outside while I’m smoking ribs to not have it. Pours a KAggie97 "cheddar orange" with very small head. Absolutely incredible nose of sticky hops, grapefruit, baked bread and fresh malt. Flavor is has an initially strong malt taste, then it turns quickly into those hops that were on the nose. Very meaty and full bodied, but not too thick or cloying. This is a beer I could drink a lot of if I could get it. Might be best that I can’t....thanks Kevin, awesome beer! ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with creamy slightly off-white head with never ending lace. When I popped the top citrus aroma exploded out. Serious fresh grapefruit. Vanilla, piney and flowery. Intense flavor and hops. This may be the best IPA I’ve ever had, but I’d love to try this next to the Alesmith Yulesmith. MesandSim (5802), London, Greater London, England

Big grassy and resinous hoppy stuff with a ton of fruit and a strong bready and alcohol laiden finish. A good start to a tasting but hugely over rated if you ask me. cameraman (7), Crestwood, Kentucky, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 8, 2008 An amber/orangish color, with a small head that forms and slowly laces down the glass. The aroma in one word, WOW! There is so much going on in the scent of this beer, citrus (mostly lemon and grapefruit), pine, floral, and earthy aromas. Man that is alot to take in. The taste has a good malt flavor right at the beginning, then the hops take over from there and dominate the flavor to very end. In the mouth it is very nice, it evenly coats the palate and the hops leave a nice dry finish. This beer is more drinkable to hop heads, not what I would call a good starter beer. This beer is truely a wonderful beer.
