Commercial Description:
A hophead’s dream beer. This Imperial India Pale Ale has an opening salvo of mango, peach and citrus hop aromas that sit atop a pronounced caramel malt backbone. Although Dreadnaught is a strong and intensely hoppy ale, its complex flavors is both smooth and memorable. 9.5% ABV, 100 IBUs.

Deep amber color and hazy with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is of orange peel and floral hops. Tastes of oranges, grapefruit and hops. Very pleasantly smooth for an IPA!

Bomber. pours hazy orange w off white head, Aroma is Hops , citrus and a little pine. Taste is hops and citrus. Bitter finish but no soap taste you get with other IIpa. FFF does hops better than anybody else. No suprise they have the best iipa.

Pours a nice dark amber with a small but creamy head. The aroma is citrusy, orange-like. Lots of hop, in a rather nice way. The flavor is so much citrus hops it’s a little mind blowing. The balance is definitely in favor of the hops, which I guess seems obvious. There’ s also a bit of an alcohol burn in there, but in a good way. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Very nice finish. It’s ultimately a beer that not so gently destroys your palate. I rather like it.

Citrusy hops (grapefruit & orange) with slightly sweet underlying malt. Warming alcohol in the finish. Finish is dry, leaving my tongue crawling around my mouth looking for more beer. A very solid IIPA; no weak spots.

22oz bottle thanks to stfun: pours a hazy amber brown with minimal white head, aroma strong in citrusy hops, flavor is filled with tons of citrusy hops and a decent amount of malt to back it up. very good brew.

22 oz. Either I had a bad bottle, or this beer was a HUGE disappointment. Almost no aroma and completely lacking in the citrus element department...I am really surprised at the high rating. I’ve had plenty better IPA’s...I would probably rank this one down at the bottom of my list.

Bomber courtesy of CMR1517. I was going to hold on to this for a while, but eh, you only live once. Pours a hazy copper color with a minimal white head. Nice lacing. Nose is citrus hops, mostly grapefruit with some pine. Palate is nice – grapefruit, pine, mango and orange peels with a hoppy bitter aftertaste. Nice creamy mouth feel and a slight stickyness to it. Alchohol is well hidden at this ABV. It’s up there with my other favorite IIPAs for sure.

HUGE thanks to StFun for hooking me up with a fresh bottle, and thanks to yem25 also for sending me a bottle I shared at a tasting. Poured a thick, slightly hazy deep orange color with a moderate, fluffy off-white head that faded to a soapy film but still left great lacing. Aroma of soft citrus, light grapefruit, apricot, and mango, a some earthy hoppiness. Thick, lightly sweet maltiness leads into the good stuff, strong fruit presence of orange, grapefruit, light mango, with undertones of pine that lead into a nice, bitter hoppy finish. Great slick mouthfeel. Just a great beer. Thanks again for sending them guys.
