Apr 21, 2008 Bottle. Orange color. Grapefruit, mint and lime in the lovely aroma. Very fiorm oily, earthy and flowery, somewhat perfumed hopbitter flavor. Long oily grapefruity, hopbitter aftertaste with rubber. Good beer, especially the aroma convinces.

Jul 18, 2005 Bottle. Copper colour with a small white head. Hoppy fruity aroma and a mild hoppy almost sweet taste. Medium to full body and a sweet light dry alcoholic finish.

Apr 11, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Tom’s UGT Pt. 2.Bright amber with a thin white head. Big grassy and resinous hoppy stuff with a ton of fruit and a strong bready and alcohol laiden finish. A good start to a tasting but hugely over rated if you ask me.

Pours a great-looking hazy yellow-orange golden. A small creamy film head on top. Aroma is bitter, hoppy and lightly fruity. Super nice mouthfeel. Flavour is complex bitter, lots of oranges, pineapple, grass (is there English hops in this?). Not as bitter as the Green Flash, but a wonderful balance. I slightly prefer the Green Flash, but this is still wonderful.

Jan 22, 2004 Updated: Jun 30, 2007(Bottle) Pour an orangish amber color with medium-sized white head. Great aroma! Had a smooth hoppy flavor that was absolutely delicious.

Sep 26, 2004 I found this one during my day trip to Baltimore. It was sitting on the sale rack for just over $6! Poured a deep amber with a large off white head. Aromas of citris and pine. Strong orange tastes. Caramel. Starts off nice and sweet and ends with a nice bitter bite. Very well balanced. Very good beer not worthy of a sale rack!

Nov 9, 2006 GABF-on tap-pours a light tan head with hazy amber color. Aroma is citrus. Taste is nice, not too overpowering.

Apr 18, 2004 Updated: Apr 19, 2004Clear dark gold/orange body with a white film. Possibly the best hop aroma I've smelled. They are there, all over the place, the big juicy grapefruity hops, but they're more than that, they're a perfume, they're the pine cardboard you put on the mirror in your car, they're the orange you ate this morning, they're the lemon juice you've put over your salmon yesterday, they're your freshly cut grass on a sunny june day. Hops, all over the place and then some, and a bit of alcohol and some heavy malt. Quite complex adventure. The first sip then adds some, grass, grapefruity, but more than that. There's a mineral saltiness in there, alcohol peaks and thick malt layers, honeyish chewy malt. Texture is smooth, creamy, very thick. Definitely my favorite I2PA and it may even convince me to seek a few others out, but I'm still far from sold to the green side, the hophead clan. Worth another tribute to Raindog for providing me with this modern classic.
