WOW!!!
What a aroma! Very citrusy with lots of hops.
Appearance is awesome, keeps a great head.
Flavor is jampacked with citrus and hops, you don’t taste the alcohol. Very drinkable.
Creates a sense of euphoria!
Re-rate: This beer has been inconsistent for me over the last few months with a few bottles. One time it’s awesome/almost perfect. The next it is a little flat with a decent taste.
Still one of the best IIPA’s I’ve ever had! Maybe second to Double Simcoe.

I thought the first day of spring would be as good a time as any to finally crack one of these babies. A nice warm day for a nice cool ass kicking beer. Tried this immediately after trying the ska decadent ( a not so balanced Dipa). Malts overpower this baby, but the hops come right back at ya to create a heavenly treat. like another rater, i think some of the best double ipa’s (stone ruination, dfh 90 minute, yulesmith) all have traits that makes them great and its difficult to hold one of these beers over the other. I guess its a matter of what you like to taste. in any case, Im glad I have one of these in the cellar that i can taste again down the road and maybe do a vertical of some favroite 2ipa’s. thanks again captain!

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 11, 2006 From a 22 oz. distinctive labeled brown bomber bottle with a blurb about the D/IPA on the side of label. Made a good appearance, poured a hazy golden hued amber with a small, sticky pale tannish/white head. Had a big tasty hop aroma, a sweet piney and grapefruity, a faded tropical fruitiness and bare whiffs of alcohol. Moderate carbonation and a chewy, creamy medium bodied mouth feel, very good drinkability. Sweet piney at the start, then comes in a sour grapefruity, a gentle rolling hop bitterness in the palate, grainy and buttery malt flavors towards the end and a sweet, puckering piney bitter finish, the alcohol content only makes it’s presence known in a slightly burning, lingering bitterness in the aftertaste, a delicious hopped up IPA.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 15, 2009 On tap at the GTMW. Definitely the best offering I’ve had from FFF to date. Amber with an off-white head that leaves some lacing along my glass. Aroma is a citrus bomb with nice amounts of caramel malt and some fruity notes to boot. Taste is fairly balanced though nice and big like a DIPA should be. Plenty of citrus, orange and other assorted candy hops to go with a big amount of caramel malt.
