Huge hop presence in both aroma & flavor. Alcohol well hidden in very well balanced brew. Why can’t we get this in New York? MrEcted1 (144), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA

Truly a work of art. If there is one perfect IPA in this world, then to me this would be it. Pours a beautiful amber color with nice head and good lacing. The smell and flavor though... hard to really describe. Yes it has that piney citrusy flavor/scent that most IPAs have, but this one is very fresh and sticky. Hops smell and taste very fresh, my God this is good. Bready, sticky... citrusy. I actually seem to taste a little bit of monkey bread in there or something. I really wish I had easy access to this beer. murrayswine (101), Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, USA

It pours a beautiful flax/gold with an off-white head that leads to solid lacing.
The smell is huge hops. and laying in waiting...hops again. Citrus tones ride the hops and green it out a bit. Like Hop Wallop on "roids, and thats saying something! The taste is as expected, heavy and bodied hops supported by a warming malt backbone. This beer is an aniNimal. As it warms it just get more drinkable, and less raw. I love tasting it’s changes.
A MUST HAVE FOR ANY HOP HEAD!

I knew this was gonna be good when i opened the bottle and the smell of hops hit the air. Pours a nice orange with a thin off white head. Smells of grapfruit and pine, awesome smell. Taste is strong grapefruit followed by a touch of sweetness (which was nice) that is eventually powered out by the hops. The beer was great it has a thick and oily mouthfeel more thick than any other IPA or IIPA I’ve ever had. Man I wish I could get this more easily. Thanks to Jason (boboski) for the trade. Clear, amber-coloured beer with a quickly decreasing head.
The smell is rank pine-needles and blackcurrant. Pineapple, apricot with a sting of facial tonic alcohol.
The taste is full bodied and leaves the palate num. It is both soft and rank at the same time with a burning feeling. Continues with a taste of liqourice, syrup, grapefruit and a hint of pineapple. The beer has a long bitter finish. Best I.P.A ever.
A beer to travel far for!
2 try at OT, Stockholm. Pours dark amber with hardley no head. Aroma of apricots, mango, strawberry jam, violets and elderberrys. Wonderful mixture of hops and malt. Citrusy soap. Thick but fresh. Great body. Syrup. Apricots, pineapple, citrus and ripe mango. Salty and peppery. Tiny notes of tomatoes. Really clean taste, nothing wrong with it at all, ripe hard cheese. Rasin. Lives a spicy numnes.( Bottle: try number 3, thanks hopscotch) Pours reddish amber. Still fruity and still a nice hoppy aroma with a toasted and light nutty malt backbone. Exotic and berry-ish. Spicy and sweet. Still soft, full and complex but something is missing from the early days. This is not comparable to a fresh Dreadnaught… xmarcnolanx (798), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA

A very complex DIPA. There is a lot of citrus and passion fruit in with the piney hops finish of the beer. Very well balanced and no noticeable initial heat. This is nearly a perfect DIPA. And while there is no initial alcohol taste, the overwhelmingly fantastic hop aroma belies a slight alcohol note which is not at all unpleasant in the finish.

Botanical aroma that leaps from the bottle upon opening. Pleasant hoppy taste well balanced against the malt. Great beer. merlin48 (518), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Sep 14, 2006 What a lovely beverage. An expensive $11 or $12 whenever you can find it in southern Indiana, but well worth the price of admission. Appearance is attractive, but not awe inspiring. Clear amber body is topped by a small, but sturdy, vanilla head. Sparse, patchy lacing is left on the glass. Aroma cranks up the experience a few notches. Incredible, citrusy, hops jump into your nasal passages. Freshly sliced, orange and green lime open into esters of pink grapefruit and tangerine. Sublime! Full and tantalizing in the mouth. Carbonation is lively, but unobtrusive. Taste is bittersweet, citrusy, hops, similar to the luscious aroma. Lime, orange zest, and a fleeting, caramel and honey sweetness play along together like three year old cousins in a sandbox. Hops finish things off as a polite assasin. Geeeez.., this is an impressive "beer". An American classic! From my many years of experience, only some of the aged, Pliny’s from Russian River Brewing in Sonoma, can aspire to such a lofty perch as the Dreadnaught.
