Commercial Description:
A hophead’s dream beer. This Imperial India Pale Ale has an opening salvo of mango, peach and citrus hop aromas that sit atop a pronounced caramel malt backbone. Although Dreadnaught is a strong and intensely hoppy ale, its complex flavors is both smooth and memorable. 9.5% ABV, 100 IBUs.

Wow very nice! nice copper color and a floral perfume nose that invites. Good body and lacing. The finish is bitter but balabces out with the full body malt.

Orange and somewhat cloudy, with a very hoppy aroma. A very hoppy flavor as well, with a smooth, creamy palate. It reminded me of a "triple" IPA. Dreadnaught is a classic example of the American DIPA style.

Bottle. [rerate] I just had this wonderful brew a few more times since my original rating. I think that it deserves an update. As far as appearance, it is excellent considering the style. It looks just like an IPA should. The aroma is the real selling point though. The huge amount of floral and pine hops grab you and pull you in. You couldn’t resit tasting if you tried. [original rating 9/4/10/4/19] This is my overall favorite IPA so far. The balance is perfect. Bitterness, malt, abv, carbonation, it all fits together extremely well. The bitterness is wonderfully accompanied by the underlying hints of mango and peaches.

I love this beer. I live in soCal, so it’s nowhere to be found. Fruity, hearty and wonderful. Maybe a bit too sweet, but it’s a very, very minor complaint. Found it while with my girlfriend outside her folks’ place near Chicago. I had it to celebrate the Patriots going 16-0, and it did NOT disappoint. I have one more bomber left, and will drink it when the Pats (hopefully) go 19-0. Cheers! And someone tell these guys to broaden their distribution. All of their stuff is dynamite.

Bottle compliments of TearsForBeers. Pours a hazy orange color with a sold white head and a gorgeous lace. The aroma is strong and piney at first followed by orange and sweet melon with some mild floral notes. The flavor is wonderfully complex, very bitter and hoppy. Instantly fruity with notes of melon and mango with some good citrus and pine notes. This is wildly balanced with a big malty sweetness that in no way detracts from the big hop flavor but seems to work as a backdrop really allowing the hops to showcase their flavor all the while providing a pleasant balance for their bitterness. The mouth feel is big with a nice sharpness mid palate. Try this beer by any means necessary.

Very nice solid orange appearance. Head was nice but diminished. Aroma of grapefruits and maybe some lime and cotton candy. Lively carbonation and great citrus bitterness from the hops and very well balanced with the malt. Maybe a little more malt than hops is there, but the bitterness lingers longer than the sweetness. I enjoyed this one a lot and would never turn another one down.

Deliciousness and delicocity combined. Best IPA I’ve had to date. So good I want to do dirty things to it. Aroma is oh so fruity and the taste clings to the tastebuds for days. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....love this beer. Just wish I could afford more of it
