Commercial Description:
A hophead’s dream beer. This Imperial India Pale Ale has an opening salvo of mango, peach and citrus hop aromas that sit atop a pronounced caramel malt backbone. Although Dreadnaught is a strong and intensely hoppy ale, its complex flavors is both smooth and memorable. 9.5% ABV, 100 IBUs.

I was shocked to realize that I have never had this, couldnt pass it up. Not overated at all, an incredible DIPA. Despite the IBU’s, not one flavor dominates with the citrusy and sweet backing. Thick with almost no foam, it goes down real smooth, but take it slow. Will definetly grab more the next time I see it.

Rating #900. Bottle from a trade with StFun. Pours orangish color with off white head. Strong citrus aroma of grapefruit and oranges and some sugary sweetness. Nice amount of hop bitterness without overdoing it. Lots of citrus and some pine balanced with a touch of sweet caramel maltiness, no too sugary or syrupy. Medium body with average carbonation and a resinous mouthfeel. Excellent!

This beer falls a hazy pale orange into my snifter, topped with a nice 3 finger head. Incredible lacing and good retention. Sweet grapefruit, pine sap, biscuity malt, some sweeter citruses like tangerine and orange on the nose. Hops obviously control the show here, but the range of hop flavors keeps it from being overly one-dimensional. Obviously grapefruit has a strong presence, as well as orange, citrus zest, and maybe even peach. A decent amount of malt futilely fights the whirlwind of hops. The carbonation really is perfect. I can’t imagine a more finely carbonated IPA. I spent about as much time swirling the beer around the glass and watching the cascades of lacing form and dissolve as I did drinking! Mesmerizing stuff. Great brew.

A beer that lives up to the hype. Nice medium orange color pour with a good white head. Slightly pine and citrus aroma that just got better with time. Sweet malt backbone complimented the hop bitterness. It was a DIPA that drank link an IPA. When can I get some more?

Thanks to Honkeybra for introducing me to Binny’s. This is about it as far as Double IPAs. I guess I can die happy now.

Deliciousness and delicocity combined. Best IPA I’ve had to date. So good I want to do dirty things to it. Aroma is oh so fruity and the taste clings to the tastebuds for days. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....love this beer. Just wish I could afford more of it

On tap at FFF, amber color with citrus and flowery hops. Smooth and mouth watering...had two more pints and bought a 22 fl. oz. bottle.
