This really deserves a bit more in rating, as this was very full smooth and almost creamy like in feel. Hoppy yet sweet and very lovely to sip over a long period of time. 8 / 4 / 9 / 4 / 16

Bottle. [Blind tasting session @ Sk8viking] #22 Small fizzy white head that was mostly diminishing. Good lacing. Light cloudy body with an amber hue. Aroma was very sweet fruit with a good mix of hoppy notes. Some malty notes can also be detected. Caramel, grain, toffee, tropical fruits, pine, grapefruit. Full bodied with a slightly dry texture. Moderated sweet with good balancing bitterness. Slightly sweet and dry finish. Excellent, would really like to taste this one again.

Aug 29, 2008 aroma of hops and citrus. very sweet scent. taste is very hoppy and has tones of fruit as well. smooth finish that lasts on the tongue and in the back of the throat. I would purchase this again.

Aug 28, 2008 Pours a hazy orange color with a nice off white head. Aroma is of a lot of citrus hops and peaches maybe. Flavor is very abundant, nice citrus hops and some pine mixed in, and the fruit flavor in the hops really comes out. Really good stuff, but not quite up to par with Pliny or Hopslam.

Aug 24, 2008 22oz. bottle. pours a really nice orange/yellow, nice lacing white head. Nice grassy/piney aroma, smells real good. Has a hell of a hop kick to it, pretty well balanced. Pretty nice beer overall. As it warmed it became incredible,

Aug 23, 2008 Poured into a Stone OG tulip glass.
Appearance is an opaque dull orange with some amber highlights, thin layer of off-white creamy foam that dissipates to a ring, swaths of sticky lacing on the glass.
Smell is big, fragrant hops, mostly floral and pine resin, slight citrus tones, caramel and toast malts linger as does slight alcohol, very flavorful and delicious.
Taste is initially sweetened pine hops, transitions to thick chewy caramel and bready malts, tones of oranges and cotton candy, finishes bitter with a hint of alcohol warming.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, creamy and slick resiny texture, carbonation is ample but moderate.
Drinkability is high given the abv, a flavorful and balanced DIPA that has a nice interplay of hops and malts, I am impressed with the hop presence and this continues my obsession with this midwestern brewery.
