Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 27, 2007 Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of hops giving it notes of grapefruit. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of hops lending it notes of grass and grapefruit. The alcohol is felt, and leaves a good burn. Papsoe (10503), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 1, 2007 (Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Hazy, pale amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fat, citrusy hop nose. Quite full-bodied with lightly sweet caramel and then this distinct, overpowering, fat and citrusy hoppiness that leaves a solid bitterness. Dry as a bone and not the most balanced example of a hop bomb (well, they rarely are...). 280907 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 15, 2007 Golden-amber colour. Chewy, limey, kumquaty nose with lots of caramel...like the label an amalgam of Three Floyds’ past. Big and chewy, with lots of hops, lots of malt and not a whole lot of cohesive. The stuff is there, but that’s all it is, like a five minute stew. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 5, 2007 75 cL bottle, thanks to Storm. Pours hazy orange with a little white lacing head. Aroma is quite grapefruity and dry. Flavour is quite hoppy dry with a slight malt base. Very minor malty sweetness. Ends in a fruity note. But overall way too dry and somewhat without balance to be fantastic. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 3, 2007 Bottle.
