SuzyGreenberg (900), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 3, 2008 22 oz. bottle - i’ve got to say this might be one the coolest labels i’ve seen; and the beer was able to match; pours golden orange with slight haze and foaming white head; aromas of mild hops and tons of sweetness; lots of body and the trademark FFF creamy texture; touch of bitterness and a little hot, but very sweet and drinkable overall; very nice and leaning on the imperial IPA side of things
guyinchicago (209), marengo, Illinois, USA Aug 11, 2008 dark deep amber in color with a light tan head aromas are of hops, pine and grapefriut taste is hard to pinpoint definitly like nothing i have ever tasted before is it the varitiy of hops? dry, bitter, strong in every way another great beer from from 3 FFF’S Kevster (192), Bradenton, Florida, USA Aug 10, 2008 22 oz. Bomber: Pours a semi cloudy orange with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Alcohol is evident in the aroma as well as the piney cirtrus hops. Flavor is initially sweet that is dry on the palate finishing with a mild bitter tanginess. Alcohol is not very well hidden, but good overall. mabel (1583), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 4, 2008 [1290-20080411] 1pt6floz bottle. Heavily toasted malt aroma with grainy citrus hops. Hazy, light orange red body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Boozy grainy toasted malt flavour has floral bitter yeast notes and lots of hops. Medium body. Good.

Overheard: "I wanna share you with another boy-- uh, what?" (male singing to Roxanne on RockBand) EithCubes (1797), Indiana, USA Jul 16, 2008 Long awaited bottle via MrBendo - thanks! With the XI just released, time to visit the X. Still has a giant caramel and citrus aroma, some pine and just a huge smack of malt. Touch of booze showing but only the kind that makes me salivate. Deep amber-copper body with a yellow-tinged beige head. Taste is set to hop overload , very bitter with a bit of resin atop the caramel. Big, brawny earthy pine and grapefruit. Hops have sagged a bit with age (they don’t have the usually lustrous FFF punch) but the alcohol seems to have mellowed and the overall taste is somewhat blended. Some nice peach/apricot accents. Medium-full body. Alcohol isn’t at all an issue here, I had to forcibly slow myself from chugging due to sheer glee. In the same genre as Dreadnaught, though not the same class. darn1207 (227), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 11, 2008 bottle from Marino’s in Toledo. Thanks to K’s mom for bringing it down. dark orange pour with a small head that disappears quickly. lots of thin bubbly lacing that looks like soap suds. big aroma of hops, honey, citrus, pine and flowers. as everyone seems to be saying - definitely resembles a DIIPA. sweet caramel malts and alcohol up front. grapefruit and light dry hop finish - but tangy. clean slightly slick mouthfeel with a good amount of carbonation. a little bit all over the map, but high quality nonetheless.
