Pours a light golden / amber mixed hue with a touch of haze and a small white-ish head that dissipates fairly quickly. A change of pace from typical FFF for sure. Aromas are light, some subtle hoppiness mixed with a light sweetness that must be the malt bill. Taste is not surprising after the smell, very prominent maltiness mixed with some very nice bittering hops, especially in the finish. Cereal, breads, and biscuity sweetness pervades the entire brew, with the bitterness balancing well. A pretty good shot at a brew outside of FFF normal realm of overhopping the hell out of beer. I liked it, but I doubt I’d pay the price I’ve been seeing on 22s of this. Cheers! sleestak (192), Williamston, Michigan, USA

Very sweet smelling with a tinge of grassy hop goodness. I’ll say right now that this was my first Helles, so I may not be a fan of the style in general or this beer in particular. Either way, it was way too sweet and lacking in balance. Carbonation was a wee low, giving it a rather flat mouthfeel. Good enough, but the Floyds definitely give you more bang for your buck with other brews. HonkeyBra (1394), Lemont, Illinois, USA

The flavor is very dry and bitter, which is awesome when I was expecting the sickly sweet and skunky flavors. Basically a lot better than you would expect from a lager, lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Pours a light golden color with fizzy white head. Smell was light and crisp malt with some grassy hops. I’m making up words and together they make sentences. Taste is like a fucking lager. Sweet and creamy and lightly hopped. Carbonated just like a beer. Probably overpriced for a middle of the road beer and I drank half of it and dumped the rest because that is how I roll. hayduke (1687), Eureka, California, USA

A somewhat hazy yellow with a small white head nose of cereal and citrus, light mouthfeel, and mild flavors. Quite drinkable, but nothing stood out. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA

Pours a dull, medium-straw color; thin, off-white head with patchy lacing. Dry, crisp aroma, showing cereal, light citrus, and some mineral bitterness. Medium mouthfeel: citrus and mineral bitterness, cereal, toasted grains; very crisp, lively acidity on the edges of the tongue; immensely drinkable stuff. Medium finish: dry, toasted grains, minerals, citrus.
