Syrupy pils malt and hay in the nose. Syrupy, oily, vinous body up front, then turning quickly thin and wet on the back. Very light crispness in the back, some sweet corn and basic pils malt/honey flavors. Ok at best, and I get that they’re going for a true helles instead of Three-Floyding it, but there’s a reason why it’s one of the more difficult styles to brew to spec. ryan (1780), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 9, 2008 Courtesy of CaptainCougar. Cloudy pale golden body with a small white head. The nose is herbal hops, hay, dough and flowers. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, some herbs, some hay and doughy yeast - watery overall. Medium/light body is a bit thin with light carbonation. dalekliz (546), San Diego, California, USA

Bitter, tart aroma of citrus. Lemony with a hint of spices. Sharp, sweet hoppy taste. Lingering light bite and nice carbonation. Quite tasty. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 24, 2008 THis bottled brew from Indianapolis, IN poured a small sized head of foamy white colored mostly diminishing fine-medium sized mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a slightly hazy yellow-white colored typically carbonated body. The mouth feel was softly tingly from start to finish. The flavor contained a soft malt liquorish note with a mild hop aftertaste. WeeHeavySD (3002), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2008 clear golden pour, looks like a pale lager. Nice malty buscuity, bready aroma. Not much hops though. Flavour is again, quite bready, but i’m getting touches of fruit, like apples, and pear in the finish. Extremely easy drinking, nice and smooth. Solid beer for the style. bdigital (590), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 27, 2008 Bottle: Pours a clear, gold color with a medium-sized white head...notes of pale malts, grass and light, citrus-y hops. Definitely not as thin as I was expecting, flavors consisting of grass, wheat and finishes with a nice FFF’s style hop kick...albeit toned down a bit. Nice, drinkable brew that I wouldn’t mind seeing in 12 oz. bottles year-round.
