Straw with light, creamy head / Grain and honey nose / Medium body, sweet and creamy, good finish / Floral, perfumey flavors of grain and honey, with toasty, cookie finish / Nice balance of body, flavor and finish.

22 oz bomber thanks to xnoxhatex for supplying this. Pours a hazy yellow with a wispy head. Nose is typical of helles, at least an old bottle of helles. Very grainy like old malt. Thin bodied those grainy flavors a little lemon. Very un-fff. I would have thought they would have done an extreme hopped up version or at least a decent helles. .... my guess is either this is a lot better on tap/really fresh ... or people are rating on namesake.

$8.99 a bomber from Archer Liquors. Hazy golden yellow with a small white head, fading to a ring within seconds. Aroma has some sweet corn and grain, and some light grassy hops. Flavor is much the same only more corny notes are apparent. Moderate sweetness with no discernible hop presence. Low carbonation with a watery body. Dortmunder Gold rocks this one’s socks off. This beer sucks for two reasons. One, 3F brews are supposed to be good, and this is subpar at best. Two, if they want to make a crappy beer, put a crappy price tag on it--not almost ten bucks.

Not my usual style of beer, and from the color, I expected it to be tasteless, but I was wrong. A lot of flavor for a lager, very drinkable and refreshing. Picked it up last night in a bomber bottle at the Maproom.

Bomber purchased at the brewery with the actual more reasonable FFF price of $5. Cloudy yellow with small white head. Lots of grain in the aroma with some spicy hop notes. Flavor was pretty bland with no hop presence whatsoever, very unappealing. Body was thin and watery. Very macro in consistency and uncharacteristic of a three floyds brew and I think the first that I really haven’t liked from them.

22oz bottle thanks to xnoxhatex for breaking this out. pours hazed yellow with pretty much no head. nose is very grainy and corn smelling. flavor is very adjuncty and grainy, with some hints of lemon. very watery feel to it. where’s the hops? where’s the micro-brewed character? well it’s not here. I can’t even believe this is a fff brew. it’s horrible.

I kind of regret paying the FFF premium for this but a three floyds lager caught my interest. An interesting beer. pale yellow color, floral hops in the aroma. taste is slightly fruity with a fair amount of body. I enjoyed this but definately not worth the price, I do hope that they continue to bottle more seasonals though, especially if they continue to show up in my neighborhood

On tap at FFF. Yellowy lagery golden without much of any of a white head (ring around the glass) Peppery light hops over a bit of corn (?). A bit of strawberry with some hay thrown in. Light refreshing, crisp body with some carbonation. Balanced. Liberal peppery hops. A bit of fruit. Corny plain Jane malt. Not bad, but not the most clean brew from these guys.
