| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 17, 2009 12 oz bottle courtesy of Acknud. Pours a hazy yellow with a 1/2" white head. Little bit of lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, lemon and wheat. This seemed more like an IPA than a wheat ale to me. Classic IPA flavors, strong citrus hop presence, grapefruit flavor, with some weak wheat flavor in the background. Bitter grapefruit like finish. Very enjoyable. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 13, 2009 Draught at Birreria Paradiso. Opaque gold-amber with a small head that leaves just a bit of foam. Straight grapefruit juice with all the pulp left in for the most part. Big hops in the nose, with juicy grapefruit, orange, and some sharper pine sap. considering that this keg must be left over from last summer, the hops are still pretty pungent. The wheat base is a bit sweet and tangy, with a creamy texture. Big hops in the finish, like orange-lemon-pine, perfect amount of bitterness, but then again I like bitterness. Not exactly typical of the style, but then again, typically the style sucks. Medium-light bodied with the yeast making it feel more substantial and smooth. My only gripe is that the carbonation level is just a bit too low, probably also contributed to the lackluster head. I wish there was a summer seasonal available in California that was this good! joshwilfong (776), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 11, 2009 minimal haze for a wheat ale, a golden appearance with only a mild head. moderate carbonation. interesting and unique flavor, with the classic fruity weizen yeast components, sweet and estery. a ton of favor hops thrown in which i have never experienced in a wheat ale. not down style guidelines, but a quality brew Butters (1637), Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2009 Sampled at the Second Cellar Reduction. We entered into this very warily, due to the 2003 vintage. Clear gold pour with thin white head. Nose of vanilla honey and wheat. Flavor is wheaty, with a grassy hop and some citrus. Medium body with medium carbonation. This held up surprisingly well for being 6 years old! Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Fairly white head and golden cloudy appearance. Spicy nose. Honey, spice, some citrus. Nice mouthfeel. aplusbreaks (330), , Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2009 12oz bottle pours a lightly hazy straw color with a small white head, not much retention. Aromas of citrus, lemon and orange zest, and yeast. Flavors are mainly citrus, lemon zest, yeast and there are some hops in there too. Palate is smooth, not to much carbonation. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2008 Very light straw colored with medium white head. Very light-bodied, really too light. No aroma. Tasted like a rice-brewed light lager, with a bit of lemon zest. I’ll take a pass on this one.
