Commercial Description:
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Check out Skingraft Comics and Records at <a href=http://www.skingraftrecords.com>SkingraftRecords.com. Cheers!

Bright gold with small white head. Big hoppy nose with a touch of grain. Flavor is hoppy with citrus that fades to a slight wheat/grain with a nice malt backdrop.

12 ounce bottle given to me by a friend. I was not expecting much out of this brew because my buddy said it was nothing too exciting. I think he was wrong... Poured a deep gold color with a nice sized white head. The aroma consisted of a lot of citrus hops with a little bit of floral in the background. The taste was extremely refreshing with a nice citrus taste with a nice hop character. Finished very smooth making me want more. I thought this was an excellent beer! Probably my favorite wheat beer to date!

(10/12/08) Draught during Riot Fest in Chicago. Clear deep golden with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus hops and some fruits. Sweetish flavor with some wheaty fruitiness, lots of hops, grapefruit, notes of pomelo and a bit of malt. Medium-bodied. Good stuff.

This beer has tons of character. It has complex flavors that remind me of grapefruit with a smooth, crisp finish. A refreshing beer that can complement many flavorful foods. Gave this one such a high rating because it blows away every beer for its style. Would serve this one with everything from crab cakes to ribs.

Deep golden color. Very different for a wheat beer. Very hoppy. A good beer, but does not fit the style. I’m not exactly sure about the hoppy wheat combination.

Picked up from the brewery with Honkeybra. Crushed with Jakebra. Color of pee, nervous right away. Confused. Very hoppy, musty. Weird profile, but somehow pleasing. Strange, but yummy.

bottle from Archer Liquors. The Best Wheat beer I’ve ever had..... insanely hoppy for a wheat beer. FFF signature is all over this one. Pours a light gold with a bit of white head. Very strong citrus hop aromas ... followed by a soft citrus based, floral hop presence on the palate. Very smooth through the mouth with the hops and lemon intertwining perfectly. Unlike most wheat beers which tend to be heavier on the lemon - Gumballhead throws some serious hops in the mix. Nice bitter finish that sticks with you for a bit.... excellent beer... I wish FFF was in my area - b/c I would be drinking their beer every week.

12oz bottle. Pale yellow color with a slight amber hue and minimal head. Awesome balance of citrus and hops. A little thin on the palate, but wonderfully refreshing. Best suited for summer days, but I’d drink this any (and every) day.
