mahennin (16), chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 19, 2008 Deep golden color. Very different for a wheat beer. Very hoppy. A good beer, but does not fit the style. I’m not exactly sure about the hoppy wheat combination. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Nov 19, 2008 Picked up from the brewery with Honkeybra. Crushed with Jakebra. Color of pee, nervous right away. Confused. Very hoppy, musty. Weird profile, but somehow pleasing. Strange, but yummy. craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Oct 31, 2008 bottle from Archer Liquors. The Best Wheat beer I’ve ever had..... insanely hoppy for a wheat beer. FFF signature is all over this one. Pours a light gold with a bit of white head. Very strong citrus hop aromas ... followed by a soft citrus based, floral hop presence on the palate. Very smooth through the mouth with the hops and lemon intertwining perfectly. Unlike most wheat beers which tend to be heavier on the lemon - Gumballhead throws some serious hops in the mix. Nice bitter finish that sticks with you for a bit.... excellent beer... I wish FFF was in my area - b/c I would be drinking their beer every week. foundmd (163), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 30, 2008 12oz bottle. Pale yellow color with a slight amber hue and minimal head. Awesome balance of citrus and hops. A little thin on the palate, but wonderfully refreshing. Best suited for summer days, but I’d drink this any (and every) day. danielcurtis81 (879), San Diego, California, USA Oct 25, 2008 Getting notebook online. Bottle. Pours hazy gold. Great hop and lemon flavors. The red wheat taste is a lot more subtle then a lot of wheat beers that just aren’t my thing. This one is, by far my favorite wheat to date!! mawacki (2), North Aurora, Illinois, USA does not count Oct 23, 2008 great bbq beer. Good about of Citrus. Pleanty to taste and it remains refreshing. wetherel (1565), Encinitas, California, USA Oct 22, 2008 Bonus bottle from StFun. Thanks Josh!. I love wheat beers. Gumballhead is super easy to drink. Some skunk in the aroma. I’m not sure if it was light struck or it uses Saaz hops. Nice crisp hop flavor. Very well done. BigBang (210), Indiana, USA Oct 19, 2008 For someone that doesn’t like wheat beers, if I had to drink one, this would be it. Very hoppy and flavor is great. It’s the wheat palate and finish that just don’t do much for me. Not a knock on 3F at all - just my personal preference.
