The red wheat taste is a lot more subtle then a lot of wheat beers that just aren’t my thing. This one is, by far my favorite wheat to date!! mawacki (2), North Aurora, Illinois, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 23, 2008 great bbq beer. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Bonus bottle from StFun. Thanks Josh!. I love wheat beers. Gumballhead is super easy to drink. Some skunk in the aroma. I’m not sure if it was light struck or it uses Saaz hops. Nice crisp hop flavor. Very well done. BigBang (210), Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 19, 2008 For someone that doesn’t like wheat beers, if I had to drink one, this would be it. Very hoppy and flavor is great. It’s the wheat palate and finish that just don’t do much for me. Not a knock on 3F at all - just my personal preference. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 18, 2008 Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy gold color with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit and floral hops. Flavor was grapefruit and wheat up front, with a grassy hop finish. Medium body with good carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Great beer. beerdetox (14), Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Not sure how this can rate under 3.2-3.5 Strange wheat beer and the final flavor that hits you is an eye opener. Cloudy amber-yellow, hops, wheat, citrus. Enjoy.... Narnad (689), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 9, 2008 Updated: Oct 12, 2008Beers pours from the bottle a clear golden color with a thick bleach white head which dissipates quickly. A heavy citrus and floral hop aroma hits the nose as soon as the bottle is opened up. Flavor is grassy mixed with wheat at the start but finishes with an awesome grapefruit flavor at the end of the tasting. A good and unique beer. As it warms, the citrus flavor really comes out and really shines. bellmyer (41), EAST MOLINE, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 4, 2008 Bottle from the brewery. Pours a dull clear orange with receding head. Aroma is very sweet hops and malts. Flavor is also very sweet, not a whole lot there. Lacing is not present. Not my favorite FFF but still a drinkable brew, better if it was a hot summer day. Better than a 2.9
