Retention is fairly brief, and no lacework.
Aromatics lead off wit a blast of peaches, melons, and tangerines. Extremely tropical and fresh.
A hint of lemon zest follows through.
On the light side of medium bodied, somewhat crisp and creamy also.
Peach halves, mangos, and juicy citrus start the pallet. Sugared pink grapefruit steps forward and theres a hint of malt.
Bitterness is nill, and the beer drinks quick.
Finishes with shades of apricots, peach fuzz, and papaya.
I had this years ago, and was not impressed. This one, however is top-notch, and I’m tasting quite fresh.
Plenty of hoppy goodness in the nose and middle.
Yum.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2008 Bottle. Beer poured a clear golden color with very minimal white head that disappeared quickly. I really liked the aroma of this beer as the hoppiness of this beer really made it’s presence known. The beer had a light body, thin texture, avarage to lively carbonation and a slightly bitter aftertaste. It has an interesting flavor combination of citrus (slightly lemon) and bitterness. Overall, this was an interesting beer. I will definately have to come back to it again and see if my opinion has changed. It was different from traditional wheat ales that I am used to. I did enjoy the hops. CaptBier (302), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Jun 11, 2008 Bottle. A hazy orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with a light touch of wheat, while the wheat has a stronger presence in the flavor on a sweet malty back ground, and still with a distinct hoppyness. OK, but nothing spectacular - I’m not that fond of the strong hoppyness combined with the wheat.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 29, 2008 In short: A smooth but crisp hoppy thirst-quencher.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear golden body with a small white head
In long: A crisp beer with crisp caramel and dried honey. Some floral notes. Rather hoppy with what feels like a mix of citrusy american hops and English hops (although I’d be surprised if any English hops were used). Very nice session beer. There were some light lemony notes but overall this is not the light summer ale I got used to with Wheat Ales. Thicker and more nourishing than just about any Wheat Ales I’ve had before. Another excellent Three Floyds product, although saying excellent Three Floyds product is about as redundant as AOL for Dummies.
