This has become my favorite American beer, and what’s funny is I usually dislike American wheats with a passion. These guys do it right though. Wonderful, crisp, dry, wheat beer.. super clean, then this MASSIVE amarillo hops aroma and flavor dominates. It’s like a wheat IPA almost. It’s amazing and I highly recommend it to ANY beer drinker. kkearn (997), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 27, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours yellow gold, capped with a big off-white head that slowly diminishes. Wheaty aroma at first, which is soon overpowered by earthy, citric hops. Wheat, grain, and salt flavors are complimented by Amarillo hops, which take over for the long finish. Definitely stands out in the crowd. Skyview (4011), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

I got a glass of this just before I got into the Three Floyds building to get my six bottles of Dark Lord. From a 22-oz bottle pours a hazy dirty golden brew with a thick white head that has some good retention and some spotty lacing. Aroma of light bread malt, citrus and flowery hops, a touch of lemon and some green vegetables. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of light white bread malt, some citrus zest and a touch of pine. Finish is semi-sweet with a mild bitterness that sticks around after the finish. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 26, 2008 Pours a very lightly hazy golden-orange color. A frothy, snow white head settles slowly to a thin film, leaving random spots and patches of sticky lacing behind. The nose is delicate but hoppy, with notes of lemongrass, light orange and grapefruit providing a bright spark atop pale, toasted malts and cereal grains. The flavor is a perfect compliment, with those same citrus hops shining triumphantly alongside a light, toasted honey-wheat bread backdrop. Medium-bodied and smooth, drinking easy and finishing dry. Refreshing. I could drink this all day long by the pool. Great summertime beer. ilovedarkbeer (1333), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 26, 2008 What a different wheat ale. Pours a hazy yellow color with orange highlights and a medium sized off white head. Nose is hoppy and of wheat with some lemon. Taste is pretty hoppy and bitter for a wheat but has a nice lemon citrus finish. Goes down smooth and is very refreshing. 12many (231), Ohio, USA
