Beerlando (2283), Orlando, Florida, USA May 26, 2008 Pours a very lightly hazy golden-orange color. A frothy, snow white head settles slowly to a thin film, leaving random spots and patches of sticky lacing behind. The nose is delicate but hoppy, with notes of lemongrass, light orange and grapefruit providing a bright spark atop pale, toasted malts and cereal grains. The flavor is a perfect compliment, with those same citrus hops shining triumphantly alongside a light, toasted honey-wheat bread backdrop. Medium-bodied and smooth, drinking easy and finishing dry. Refreshing. I could drink this all day long by the pool. Great summertime beer. ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA May 26, 2008 What a different wheat ale. Pours a hazy yellow color with orange highlights and a medium sized off white head. Nose is hoppy and of wheat with some lemon. Taste is pretty hoppy and bitter for a wheat but has a nice lemon citrus finish. Goes down smooth and is very refreshing. 12many (231), Ohio, USA May 26, 2008 Updated: Jun 18, 2008Great summer beer from FFF. Citrus and hops give it clean, refreshing feel and a nice crisp finish. ThaBobfather (178), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 25, 2008 Pours golden with small but nice head. It’s got a citrus/honey/hop/wheat flavor. Great finish. lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA May 23, 2008 Pours golden with a pure white head. Really unique aroma for a wheat beer- lemony tang, some soft berry notes, herbal-tea, honey, and citrus hop presence. Flavor is a bit more muted than the nose, but still a fantastic change from the normal wheat beer formula. Really great floral and fruit notes intermingling on a crisp, lively palate. I love the pronounced hops in this one. mcmd (132), Louisville, Kentucky, USA May 17, 2008 Pours clear golden with no haze - is this really a wheat beer. Aromas of citrus hop, lemons, smells refreshing. Wheat comes thru in the taste with definite hop presence. Very crisp and refreshing palate. Could put back several of these. Wished I would have tried it earlier as I would always jump to alpha king if I had the choice, but this is very approachable and tasty. douglas88 (1556), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA May 15, 2008 Bottle from Eithcubes. Pours a fairly clear orange with a thin head. The aroma is mostly a rich hops and citrus, also some grains. The taste is dominated by a citrusy hops, quite fresh and full, also full of wheat dipped in honey. Pretty nice. Very clean and easygoing. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. jrob21 (1251), Atlanta, Georgia, USA May 14, 2008 This one came in from Eithcubes. The lesson to be learned from this beer is that amarillo hops = bubblegum flavors/aromas. Getting more of an IPA than a wheat experience but I am not complaining. Clear golden orange color. Wheat style comes through faintly on the finish. A little banana and grain flavors there. Straight amarillo is a little one dimensional. A good dimension but still one dimension.
