Taverner (826), San Ramon, California, USA Apr 27, 2008 This is simply the best Wheat Beer I’ve ever had. Orange with a frothy white head that went away. Easy to drink and full of hops - has a strong floral and yet dank and bitter hop profile. This beer may get me to try more wheats. Lothore (276), California, USA Apr 23, 2008 A- Pours a very clear light orange with a 2 finger, fizzy head which dissipates rather quickly.
S- Is this a wheat beer or an ipa? First thing to hit my nose it a massive whiff of hops followed by a wheaty, light fruit smell, possibly apricot.
T- Taste is smooth. Light fruits, earthiness, a bit of grain, followed by a distinct piney hoppiness.
M- Medium viscosity, quite a bit of carbonation.
D- This is certainly an easy drinker. Glad I have 3 because now I know what i’m going to pop open on a warm summer day.
jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA Apr 21, 2008 really nice wheat beer. refreshing, sightly fruity...kinda gumball-y. really nice showpiece for the amarillo hops. rustychiles (997), Mesa, Arizona, USA Apr 20, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Holdenn.
Pours a barely hazy gold color with a small white head. Aroma of hops, grapefruit, wheat, and fruits. Loads of bitter, sweet, grapefruit, hops, fruits and believe it or not almost gumball come together to give this low alcohol beer a rather big taste. Unique69crazy (119), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Apr 17, 2008 Great refreshing brew! Three Floyds has a great assortment of delicious beers and this did not change my opinion of that. From start to finish, a symphony of amarillo and citrus bursts capped off with a smooth well balanced aroma. Both pleasant to the smell and taste, this one should be liked by most beer lovers. DWestrick (234), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA Apr 11, 2008 bottle. terrific wheat beer! lots of hops and very smooth. Three Floyds makes some awesome beer JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Apr 11, 2008 Updated: Aug 25, 2008This is an amazingly refreshing summer beer. Wheat bread, grain, lemon zest, bubblegum sweetness, and tropical fruit (mango and papaya). Very easy to drink and tasty, but not all that complex. 17thfloor (1402), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 4, 2008 Updated: Jul 30, 2008Pours orange, slightly hazy, with a large foamy/sudsy white head. Candied wheat malt, citrus, grapefruit and some spices in the aroma. Sweet and bitter with too much alcohol showing for something thats only 4.8%. A little bit salty and some bubblegum flavor. Average palate, slightly sticky. Not nearly as good as I would have thought by how fast it flies off the shelf.
[Had this on tap at the Map Room.. .and it was much better than the bottle pour... ]
