mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 21, 2008 [1040-20080112] 650mL (w/ garthicus, HogTownHarry, jerc, mds, Radek Kliber; Vintage 2007). Sweet citrus navel orange hops aroma. Clear, yellow orange body with a quick foamy white head. Lemon citrus hops continues in the flavour. Medium body. Mellowed due to time in the fridge but still enjoyable -- would like to re-rate with a fresher sample. BuckeyeSammy (454), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Jan 20, 2008 Great deep golden color.. crystal clear, light head. Strong hoppy aroma. Flavor of strong hops.. underlying notes of wheat, very crisp finish. So enjoyable. Had this one sitting in the fridge for about 8 months, opened it in the dead of winter. Cant wait for the summer to get another bottle. Light body and so easy to drink. BabyJoe692 (109), Pickerington, Ohio, USA Jan 20, 2008 Draft. Pours a golden/yellow color. Aroma is sweet, hoppy and almost lemony. Light bodied and easy to drink. Lightly flavored of wheat and almost bubblegum and lemon in the background, finishing nicely with Hops. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Jan 19, 2008 This gold couldn’t be any more crystal clear. Corn starch, mint, lemonade, and soft metallics in the aroma. Aged. Tastes of sour grain, dry grass, creamed corn, tea leaves, and rotted citrus. Hops are buried and anything lively imparted by the wheat has lost its zest. Crisp and almost medium in body; leaves a sour green apple, honey, and sugary lemonade residue to coat the mouth after swallowing. If this had an expiration date it seems that it would be long since past; this will merit a revisit eventually, but the basic character here provides little of promise. BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jan 17, 2008 I really enjoyed this beer and I am not a tremendous fan of the style!!! Thanks to Atalla for this one!!! You can’t miss the 2-3 inch head...a billowing white cloud that never leaves and greets your lips on every sip. It’s a cloudy rich golden hue and has aromas of citrus and a tint of pine. I think the most surprising and inviting aspect of this beer is the level of hops. Kind of a cross between a traditional wheat and a mild pale ale. Palate is light and refreshing...GREAT SUMMER BEER!!! StFun (535), Indiana, USA Jan 17, 2008 a perfect example of liking the palate better than the actual flavor of the beer. im not a fan of wheat ales at all, but this is the best ive had (even though im still not incredibly high on this one). slight candy and citris taste. the wheat is very evident, and the alcohol is pretty pronounced for just 4.8%. full of juice. a little sticky, but not overly so. a great palate though, the flavors seem to change while they sit in your mouth. probably wont drink much again, but thats because i dont like the style of beer, nothing to do with this actual beer. garthicus (1215), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 13, 2008 Delighted to have shared this with the Toronto crowd and my first Three Floyds rating. Golden yellow with a slightly cloudy tint. An amazing hop-candyfloss aroma. Flavour- sweet hoppy mouthfeel, juicy! Very satisfying beer jbean (110), Illinois, USA Jan 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with thick white head that reduces to thin film. Aroma is citrusy, spicy, sweet and hoppy. Flavor is complex, citrus (lemon and grapefruit), with very pleasant spice character, some hoppy bitterness. Slighly sweet, very refreshing. I normally don’t really like wheat beers, but this is excellent.
