Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Jan 13, 2008 Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours hazy straw with initially big white head that dissipated in under a minute. Wow, the aroma is a load of citrus hops and pineapple mixed with mild wheat, lemon and orange peel. The taste is fresh and lively with lemon tartness, sweet malts, wheat some grapefruit hops and hints of orange juice. There’s also an under current of sugary sweetness. Good refreshing summer brew. Perfect for this warm winter night in FL. wickedpete (625), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA Jan 12, 2008 Yellow pour with a white head that quickly recedes. Aroma was surprisingly strongly hoppy, quite a bit of citrus. Flavor is similar, lots of hops but a bit of wheaty bubblegum in the background. A very interesting wheat beer for sure. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jan 7, 2008 A very nice yellow to straw in color. There were scents of lemon and a wheat/rye aspect. The palate is crisp but round with very nice texture for a crisp beer. The midpalate is light on its feet making this a very nice beer to drink on a warm day. Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jan 3, 2008 22oz bomber-A nice golden body with a nice two finger white head and an aroma of hops, wheat, and some citrus. Taste of the same with the wheat coming out a little bit more. A nice tasting brew. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA Jan 3, 2008 Thanks to my Secret Santa (pantanap) for this bottle. Pours a nice rich, golden straw color with a huge white head and nice lacing. Nose is floral hops, pine and some citrus as well. Flavor is just like the nose with some of that wheat beer flavor. Very nice and refreshing. badbeer (432), Iowa, USA Dec 23, 2007 Review from 2006.
Pours a very nice golden color with a nice pillowy head that leaves a wonderful lacing on the glass, clearer than most wheat style beers. Smell is hoppy, opens with a floral bouquet and finishes with citrus smells (orange, lemon) and even has some pine in there as well. Taste is glorious, I swear I tasted some banana and bubblegum before the hops takeover mid-drink and hit you with a refreshing citrus burst. Light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation, it really could not be improved on for the style. Drinkability, umm, yeah I could have this wherever, whenever and plenty of it.
Additional information: My bottle was refridgerated since its summer release, and is still this good now, that’s just crazy, I was afraid to buy it at first because of how long it was sitting there, but I’m so glad I did. Juelze (889), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Dec 22, 2007 Pours out a hazy yellow color with good amount of white head that fades quickly. Aroma is intensely lemony along with citrus hop notes. The taste models the aroma to a key with some notes of coriander. Carbonation is a little light for my liking. Palate is a little bit astringent for my liking. Also has a light soapiness in the end. Not bad. Petrucci914 (574), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Dec 22, 2007 Pours a cloudy golden yellow color with a diminishing frothy head. Aroma is wheat, and citrus fruits like lemons and grapefruit. Taste is bitter up front with some citrus throughout, and finishes kind of soapy. A great Wheat Ale in terms of drinkability.
