| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 4, 2007 Hazy golden pour with tremendous white foamy head. Aroma is grapefruit and Amarillo hops. Flavor is very hoppy and citrusy. Mouthfeel is good and this is a very sessionable beer. This is one of the best wheat beers I’ve had. mistersinalin (367), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

It was thin with minimal flavor and no aroma. I love the alpha king, but this isn’t in the royal family. mtoast (290), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2007 On tap at FFF, 9/22/07. Hazy golden beer with nice white foam, very nice lacing. Big Amarillo hop nose, little bit of light maltiness in the aroma also. Very nice wheat malt flavor and great mouthfeel, tends to beat you up with the hops just a little too much. scoobysnak (249), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 21, 2007 Updated: Oct 24, 2007It is a very unconventional wheat beer. Banana flavors with a hopsy aftertaste, delicious. I’ll agree with a couple of the other raters, it taste more like a IPA than a wheat beer but that definately doesn’t detract from its deliciousness. bonbright7 (173), Bellport, New York, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 20, 2007 Bottle:Trade prize. The heavy aroma of hops made me think this was more of an IPA than a wheat beer. The nuances were very expressive as I took the first taste into the realms of the ale. The medium light body reminded me with banana that this was a summer style beer, but one that I could easily drink all night. jason (1621), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 12, 2007 Bottle. Pours an deep golden body with huge head, in fact it took me forever to empty out the contents of the bottle. Aroma was very pleasant, very floral smell. Flavor was nice, very hoppy for the style, heavy bitterness. While this is a good beer, it’s not one I would grab again. It seems to have an ever changing taste and feel to it. It’s feels like it is a step or two away from being great. marcus (1850), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 6, 2007 On tap at Map Room (Chicago). This cloudy yellow ale poured with a decent off-white head. The flavor is quite interesting - fairly hoppy with a candy-like taste and a sharp bite at the finish. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
