POD (198), USA Jun 24, 2007 Bomber. Drank this one ice cold from my Buckeye Hall of Fame tall beer glass. Goldern pour with quickly dissipating white bubbly head. Big wheat & citus hop aroma hit me fast. As with all 3 Floyds that I’d had to date, the flavors are complex. There is a citusy, IPA-like flavor combined with a strong wheat beer flavor. There is a definite juicy red grapefruit aftertaste that ends bitter. I like it and would drink it again. blkitson (132), Westerville, Ohio, USA Jun 22, 2007 What a great freshing summer brew. When you taste your first swallow and the lemon/grapefruit flavor hits the back of your throat, it’s a pure taste of summer. Two thumbs up redlem (1155), Illinois, USA Jun 15, 2007 Updated: Jun 16, 2007I liked the taste, aroma, and feel of this beer. Poured with a decent head. A slightly hazy gold color. A distinct resin citrus, dessert hop aroma. A silky mouthfeel from the hops. DarkMagus (433), San Jose, California, USA Jun 13, 2007 On tap at Three Floyd’s. Pours a nice hazy golden color with a thick white head. Aroma is of citrus (orange, lemon), hops, and a sweet maltiness. Flavors were very nicely hoppy but not too overpowering. Elements of wheat, caramel, citrus fruits, and a candy-like sweetness. Well-carbonated, refreshingly clean and dry palate. Really interesting stuff, seemed to be somewhere between an IPA and a wheat beer. The best of both worlds. A very sessionable beer. Trooper11 (464), Suffolk, Virginia, USA Jun 11, 2007 Bomber. Clear yellow brew with large sea foam like head, minute lacing. Inviting malty lemon grass aroma. Lemon-bitterness with an orange zest flavor. Bit of a burn on the roof of the mouth. Medium bodied, dry finish, pretty drinkable and this from a guy who is not a fan of wheat in his beer. Would have tasted better under the noon sun today which was near 90 degrees. Alldaydrinker (557), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Jun 8, 2007 22oz Bomber. Poured into a pint glass with hazy honey colour and a medium offwhite head that dispates quickly. Aroma of grapfruit, orange peel, lemon zest. Flavor begins with a citrus hops and lemon surrounding. Finishing with a refreshing mouthfeel of sweet wheat. Some similiarties to an IPA. Good Brew. MoDog (909), Griffith, Indiana, USA Jun 2, 2007 22oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a tiny beige head. The head dissappears very quickly. No lacing. Aromas include orange, lemon, and a suprisingly big dose of hops. Flavor is very crisp with a lemony bite. A hint of banana in there also. This beer could almost be described as an IPA mixed with a wheat beer. The mouthfeel is very light and refreshing with a good amount of carbonation. A pleasent surprise in the wheat category! presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 29, 2007 Chicago Trip. Saturday 15:00. On tap at the brewery. Hazy dark yellow. Light head. A few tiny particles. Strong full hop aroma. Delicious hoppy wheat, especially for lower ABV. Not a lot of ethers or yeast. Just hops. Seems hoppier than 18 IBU. Delicious hop taste and you can make it a sessional. As an added note I had some back home after an IIPA and the flavour and hops were much more delicate.
