This beer is definitely a lot like a hoppy IPA, but is a wheat beer! Crazy mix, but the amarillo hops are amazing when paired with this red wheat. Lot less hazy and lighter than traditional wheat beers. Great wheat style if fan of HOPS. Excellent brew from FFF, especially since 6pack became available Ofortuna (322), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA

First beer of the day.....FINALLY and thanks to Sombeast for seeing my obvious thirst for some malty goodness. Slight lemony character and the presence of the house hop profile that is FFF. Which, I might add, am not a fan of. Fizzy, wheaty and citrus/lemony best describe this one. Good thirst quencher, but very average overall. riversideAK (2669), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | May 10, 2007 Man this was awesome. An amazing lemon citrus aroma. It was almost like those sour gumballs that they made back in the day. Poured an almost clear golden orange color. The flavor was pretty hoppy with a nice touch of some sweet wheat. Very citrusy. Very unique for an american wheat beer. It was very thirst quenching. Somewhat resiny from all of the hops, but it was light and extremely drinkable. I really enjoyed this one even if it was an $11 bottle of beer. I will probably try to track this one down again. amee16 (62), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA

I’m not normally a big fan of wheats these days but this is an exception. Has that nice bitter hoppy flavor that I love with a little sourness... Like lemon zest! Yum! I could drink this all day...
and I did :) michael-pollack (2644), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 4, 2007 22oz. Bottle: Lightly sweet, medium bitter aroma. Smells of amarillo hops, pine, resin, vanilla, and a little citrus. All together it kind of smells like a gumball. Poured golden-amber in color with a small, creamy, white head. Small lacing. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is medium bitter but not sweet or sour. Tastes mainly of hops, with a little lemon, some citrus, wheat, and Amarillo spiciness. Light to medium body. Slightly watery texture. Nice tingly mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Short, hoppy finish. Lots of nice hops but needs a little more malt backbone; body is unbalanced in a negative way. Overall, decent and drinkable but did not meet my expectations. Maybe I just don’t like bubblegum. shp555 (1681), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2007 On draft at DLD. Poured a hazy yellow with a thick white head. Great citrus/lemon aroma. Smooth hoppy flavor, not much malt, but a bit of biscuit that goes well with the lemon flavor. A very refreshing beer on a hot day.
