My wife even liked it...That’s saying something, because she does not like anything. alexanderj (2227), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 22, 2007 Bottle brought back from Chicago. Aroma of wheat, floral and citrus hops, some yeast. Flavor was very good for such a low alcohol content; good session possibilities. Very easy drinking; drank it probably too fast. Flavors of lemon, citrus/floral hops, some rye-like flavor, and wheat. No doubt a top version of the style. golubj (1286), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 22, 2007 Bottle. Aroma of citrus/floral hops, grain, and spice. Palate is smooth. Flavor is of grain and hops, lemony finish. Pretty good for a wheat beer, but almost tastes like a pale ale. Duster72 (117), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 19, 2007 Taste is outstanding. Great mix of fruit, wheat, and hops. More refreshing than most wheats. Hops give a very nice finish. Not as cloying as some wheats. Exceptional drinkability -- the 22oz bomber left me wanting another, and if I had one on hand, I would have had another. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Bottle. Bright hoppy aroma with notes of lemon and pineapple. Golden orange color with a minimal head. Flavor is orange with a mild bitter citrus hops accent, very little wheat flavor was noticable. Much less hopped than Alpha King. Watery palate with a mild citrus finish. joe1510 (501), Illinois, USA

This is one of my favorite warm weather beers and I’m finally getting around to reviewing it. So here it is.
Gumballhead poured a very nice slightly hazed golden. A quarter inch white head. All kinds of carbonation bubbles along the sides of my pint glass.
This beer smells great. So refreshing. There’s a tiny amount of malt but it’s mostly just citrus hops. Lemon mostly. Smells like candy. My mouth is watering and I can’t wait to drink this up.
I get a mouthful of citrus right up front but is quickly balanced by by a slightly sweet wheat malt. Ends with more citrus(lemon) from the hops and the smallest amout of pine. A good bitterness lingers for a few seconds and vanishes. There’s enough hops to keep my mouth tingly until the next gulp though.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side. Just the right amount of carbonation to keep things going and move the flavors around in your mouth.
Drinkability is way up there. It’s so easy going down and it keeps you wanting more with the nice hop bite.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Hard to believe this is a wheat beer. If there were a category for "gumball" bres, this one would be signature. Lemon citrus sugar flavor somewhat reminiscent of gum from baseball card packs (but this one’s charm doesn’t quickly disappear). Very enjoyable and unique. A glowing body and summoning head makes this a must try beer for any explorer. oakbluff (298), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 24, 2007 This was a very different, unique and highly quaffable/enjoyable wheat beer. Being a hop head, I found the hop levels to really work well with this brew. Even though bottle conditioned, the clarity of the beer was high. The head was a proper fluffy white. The smell straight from the bottle was what really got me. Fantastic. This beer must kick ass when its fresh and on tap in the summer.
Finish is probably the dryest I’ve experienced with a wheat due to the hops. Very clean. I could drink quite a few of these babies in row and it was pleasure to get my hands on one. My first FFF beer and it was a great start.
