Strong piney hop aroma with pastry like sweetness, lemon, and rye-like spiciness mixed in. In the mouth, this beer starts like many other wheat beers, but this also included a very pronounced lemon flavor right off the bat. This was followed by an emerging rye-like malt quality, and both of these flavors mixed with the dry hoppyness of the finish to give this beer a very refreshing end. Wonderful body, seems very well made, and just about as good as American wheat beers get. TheKegergator (241), California, USA

Thanks to Nuclear George for this one.
As a hophead I have to say. . . OH HELL YEAH!!! What a great brew. Everything I look for in a beer. Quite nice feel. A slightly thicker then normal body for the style. Despite the carbonation seen rising, there was only an average kick on the tongue.Very drinkable, i would rate this as one of my favorite wheat beers. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2007 Pours a hazy amber, with about an inch of foam. Decent lacing, nothing spectacular. Smells like a sweet black tea. Truly, I smell tea leaves in with the malt. Intriguing.
Tastes like a sweet smooth wheat beer up front, wheat malt, some yeast, some bread, and then - wham - hops. Out of place but delicious. Spicy grassy hops.
Medium to full body, nicely carbonated, mild spice in the aftertaste. I don’t mean to diminish this beer, because it is pretty good, but to me it has all the fixin’s of a wheatwine - just lacking the body and alcohol. jstraw (755), Chicago, Illinois, USA

The hops come through, but not strongly. Definately has a crisp grapefruit finish. Love the mouthfeel, nice and refreshing. bitbucket (2030), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 21, 2007 Bomber courtesy of after4ever. Pours a hazy gold with a lacy white head. Sweet mango aroma. Light body, given the sweetness of this beer.Sweet bread and fruit taste with a grapefruit finish. Wouldn’t it be great if there were more American Wheats like this, and the style wasn’t just a portal for transitions from the macros? after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 21, 2007 Bomber--thanks, BeachBum25! Pours hazy medium copper with a thin white head and minimal lace. Huge floral/cotton candy/candied orange nose. Deliciously sugary. Big attack; medium body and tingly carb and forward tangy flavors--biscuit, caramel, tingly light pine in the finish. Wouldn’t it be great if American wheats always tasted somewhere near the ballpark of complexity that this one has? You’d drink them all the time. I would, anyway. This is great stuff, hidden away in the surprising camoflage of a brain-dead dull style. Optigon (561), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 18, 2007 This beer has little head, and has a light orange-gold color. Hoppy scent with a solid mouth feel and a floral and orange flavor. While this is a wheat, it very much borders in the area of an IPA.
