cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Jul 8, 2006 via trade with OhioDad - Pours a clear orangish color with a light head. Faint lacing. Faint citrus aroma. Almost tastes like an American PA. Not your typical wheat beer. Light to medium body. Very smooth and easy to drink. A good beer. Thanks Scott. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Jul 7, 2006 Pours light golden with a thin foamy white head. Aroma of metallic, grassy hops and mushrooms. Taste is soapy and surprisingly hoppy. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly sticky with soft carbonation. Older bottle from 2005. Does not keep well. Disappointing. Will retry at the brewpub. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 5, 2006 Golden body with a small ivory head. Aroma is similar to an IPA, hops with a light amough of wheat. Bitter taste, though it’s somewhat muted given the style, a bit too much wheat is evident. Lightly bitter ending... overall, this beer trys to be too many things and doesn’t accomplish any with any great sucess. RCL (1443), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Jul 4, 2006 Very good beer. Nice to try a wheat with some real hop backbone. FFF comes up with another winner. peter (385), Dallas, Texas, USA Jun 26, 2006 Very clear orange pour. Uniform tan head that fades in short time. Nose is piney and full of sap. Full of sucrose with notes of orange and apricot. Mouth is fairly bland. There is a slightly chewey banana and bubble flavour. The wheat is noticible, but presents its fullest in the long aftertaste. Finish is a pine that matches the hops on the nose. Alcohol is quite present for this ABV. Mouth is very watery and weak. MrAndo (39), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jun 26, 2006 This is a great beer, I had a bottle but, overall the beer taste FRESH. a great hop smell and the taste was the perfect ballence of hope and malt. I must say for a wheat beer i was surprized at the flavor, I expected something a little more sweet, but maybe it was the Red wheat? i do not know? what ever it was the beer is an awsome smooth drininking well balenced beer. glkaiser (1150), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 25, 2006 Citrus hop aroma is incredible. Nice subtle malt and the hops really come through. Perfect balance of hops and a little sweetness. Great for a 90 degree day. Lovely. NewCastle1 (59), Indiana, USA Jun 24, 2006 Bottle. Pours a very pretty golden wheat color. Small whitish head, with little lacing. Aroma is of strong citrus. Grapefruit is the main thing I can smell. maybe a touch of wheat and pine. First mouthfull was a bit thin in my opinion. Very lemony and grapefruity in the taste. Very little in the wheat flavoring of this brew. A little to overpowering with the citrus and hops in my opinion. Still a good beer though.
