sigma23 (217), , Maine, USA May 14, 2009 pours hazy yellow with nice sized head. aroma is bursting with citrus, lemon, grapefruit, orange, wheat. drinks really hoppy for a wheat which is nice cuz its all citrus with just a little wheat sweetness to balance things out. damn fine wheat. cexshun (57), Portage, Indiana, USA May 14, 2009 Pour is a clear dark yellow, light orange. Similar to filtered apple juice. Not much head, foamy and white. Aroma of lemon, yeast, orange, hoppy. Good hop bite. Light malt, floral notes, heavy citrus. Thin body in the mouth. Very drinkable as a session beer. tmoreau (527), Lombard, Illinois, USA May 9, 2009 On tap at Brixie’s, Brookfield, IL. Pint served as a hazy gold tone with a modest, foamy white head. The aroma was malt, light pine then citrus. The flavor reflected the same with a little grain and a pleasant dryness to the finish. Light and very sessionable. noompa (130), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 2, 2009 On tap @ the Ida Noyes Pub. Pours a satisfactory white head, golden and surprisingly clear for an unfiltered wheat ale. Characteristically hoppy FFF nose, w/ the Amarillo coming through especially. Spice and citrus, thin in the mouth and quenching. I liked the Oberon better. dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA May 2, 2009 Thanks to STFun for the bottle, number #1100. Pours a light hazy gold with a thin white head. Citrusy orange hop aroma with hints of wheat. Light crispy wheat malt taste with a nice citrus hop bitterness. Crisp refreshing wheat ale, excellent. blklab2007 (932), Connecticut, USA Apr 29, 2009 bottle poured a golden color with a thin white head and good carbonation. aroma has juicy citrus hops, pine, sweetness, and a faint bit of wheat. sorta like a stick of juicy fruit. mouth feel is light with crisp carbonation. flavor highlights the sweet citrus and pine hops. there is a wheat beer under there but the hops just take this to another level. super drinkable but so juiced full of flavor. punkrkr27 (606), Berkley, Michigan, USA Apr 27, 2009 Clear gold pour with a small white head. Nice juicy mango and grapefruit aroma with some grassy wheat maltiness. Estery citrus flavor with a fair amount of piny hop bitterness on the finish and a note of clover honey. Medium-thin body with lots of tingly carbonation. What an awesome summertime beer. I wish I could buy it locally. I would drink the crap out of this stuff! GranvilleTim (465), Granville, Illinois, USA Apr 26, 2009 I had this on draft and in bottle at DLD 09. The draft was fresher but they both were tasty. Poured a semi-cloudy yellow with a nice white head. The aroma was hoppy and a little spicy. The wheat and hops made a very drinkable beer.
