Commercial Description:
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Check out Skingraft Comics and Records at <a href=http://www.skingraftrecords.com>SkingraftRecords.com. Cheers!

very lacey head atop a budweiser yellow color..very fresh aroma of hops, straw, cotton candy, honey, and fresh cut grass...candy and grass flavors..nice, light, refreshingly nice..not too wheaty or yeasty which is a nice change...maybe a little lemon-citrus feel to it too.

via trade with OhioDad - Pours a clear orangish color with a light head. Faint lacing. Faint citrus aroma. Almost tastes like an American PA. Not your typical wheat beer. Light to medium body. Very smooth and easy to drink. A good beer. Thanks Scott.

Bottle: Golden pour with a nice white head, good lacing on the glass. Aroma is a little grassy, with some citrus and pine hop notes. I hate to say it but this bottle may have been a bit skunky, but not too bad. However I’ve had this one before. Flavor has a mild wheat malt start a little sweet and citrusy finish. Solid mouth feel, mellow carbonation for a nice smooth and drinkable beer. Refreshing as well.

Brilliant golden color with a nice fluffy white head poured into a weizen glass. Nice fragrant, sweet and fruity citric hops. Some candy like sweetness in there, and a hint of wheat as it warms, but the hops are the star. Taste is smooth, balanced, yet hops play a big role in the taste as well and make the flavor pop unlike in any wheat beer I’ve ever had. Slow to arrive, but slow to leave nice hearty wheat finish. Wow, this is simply awesome. I wish this were available in Texas. Damn near perfect. One of my new favorite beers.

On tap at TFBC pub. A deep golden pour with a light goey white head. A lot of hops for a wheat that covers most everything else. A light fruitiness on the front that is quickly covered by the hops a light bannana like flavor comes back on the end with some grapefruity hops. Solid palate that has good carbonation for a wheat. Very very clean for a wheat excellent carbonation and fruit and hops flavor combo.

bottle as an extra BA trade. Pours clear copper with thin white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus and light grains. Taste, hoppy with light citrus / grapefruit notes and palate, wheat. Not a strong beer, but overly enjoyable and complex. Finish leaves a bitter and nice silky touch on the palate.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with yem25. Pours a very hazy yellow gold with a moderate white head that quickly faded to a film and left virtually no lace. Strong aroma of pine along with some banana and lemon notes. The flavor is a bit of a disappointment. Heavily herbal with some pine as well. There is no lemon, banana or wheat for that matter. More bitter at the finish than I was expecting too. An interesting beer, but not what I would choose for an everyday wheat beer.

a nice golden color w/ a fairly avg sized white head laces well but dissapates a bit quickly. Aroma starts w/ a big blast of citrus & grassy smelling hops bannana cloves and bublegum. Palate is pretty thin fairly carbonated. Flavor is odd a bit of a citrusy front w/ a definate wheaty taste in the finish an odd gum based flavor. A bit of an odd taste but quite refreshing and dry overall. Thanks to Blake for bringing and sharing.
