Commercial Description:
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Check out Skingraft Comics and Records at <a href=http://www.skingraftrecords.com>SkingraftRecords.com. Cheers!

Pours a hazy golden yellow. Aromas of bread, fruit, floral and citrus hops. Flavors of fruit, malt and some nice hints of hops.

Thanks to Marinaro500 for this 3F specialty! Pours dark golden with a fluffy white head that diminishes liesurely. Doesn’t seem particularly wheaty. Aroma is big on the hops, slightly sweet - almost IPA-ish in character. Flavor is good, smooth sweet start with a bold citrus hoppiness and a tangy finish. Great summer beer! Light to medium body and prickly carbonation.

Good sized head. Light straw colored with low carbonation. I expected more carbonation from this. Head reduces to a thin foam. Spicey hops aroma up front followed by some nice citrus and sweet malts. Bit of pepper. Dark golden straw color. Thin body and flavor. Spicy hops again with more citrus. Dry and bitter. Very dry finish with good bitterness. Not much wheat or yeast flavor present. A decent and very hoppy wheat beer.

On tap @ the brewery, RBSG2003. Fresh and hoppy and ultra crisp - slightly fruity, not sweet, not bitter, quite good. Can't get the normal American Whet components because ofthe hopping, but I still liked it!

Bottle. Very hoppy nose. Lemonade like body with no head. Very hoppy, zesty, citrusy beer. Slightly acidic. Other flavors that come out are honey, candy, and bubblegum. I was very, very impressed by this beer. Thanks to Nuffield for sharing this one. Excellent, excellent beer!

Bottle. Pours golden with a nice white head. Moderate lacing. Lemony hop aroma with some breadiness and yeast in the background. Very light wheat malt flavor without being watery with a spicy and fruity hop counterbalance. Bitter and lemony finish. A very crisp and refreshing wheat beer for the hophead. Although I am not a fan of the aspirin chalky characterics of the amarillo hop.

AT THE BREWERY: had this from the bottle (good) and then on tap (better) and finally at the brewery (best). Hard to believe this is a wheat. This is awesome and is a refreshing and satisfying drink. <be>
ON TAP: Bought half a case and thought it was just okay. Then I had it on tap at Crane Alley. Much, much better. Slightly cloudy amber with weak white head. Wonderful bouquet of citrus hops. Medium body. Flavor had a pleasant citrus tang to it. Certainly better on tap than from the bottle.

22oz from From the Vine, Columbus. I’ve been eager to try this for a while now, and it’s a pleasant, refreshing beer on this first truly warm day of the year. Golden and full bodied, with an energetic, overflowing head. It’s got a pleasant aroma, with ripe peaches, modest spice, and sweet flowers. The body’s just a touch thin, and the finish is bitter and dry. Pretty good.
