How this can be an American Wheat is beyond me. I think someone left the "wheat" part out because the hops in this is so freakin’ overpowering there’s nothing there but...well, hops. Great if you’re a hophead, but not so if you are looking for a great wheat beer. Aroma is piney, and sweet. Where’s the "bubblegum" in gumball head? Appearance was golden yellow in color. Mouthfeel was slightly sticky, medium bodied. Flavors were just hops. No wheat character, not much malt character, just hops. I guess it’d be an okay pale ale but to call this an American Wheat is just misleading. hayduke (1677), Eureka, California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 15, 2008 Bottle from Eithcubes. Pours a fairly clear orange with a thin head. The aroma is mostly a rich hops and citrus, also some grains. The taste is dominated by a citrusy hops, quite fresh and full, also full of wheat dipped in honey. Pretty nice. Very clean and easygoing. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 23, 2006 22 oz bottle. Cloudy amber color with light head. Grainy-lemon aroma that wanders into APA/IPA territory. Complex wheat-lemon-grain taste with a pretty nice amount of hoppiness. Nice mouthfeel & smooth finish. Definately the best wheat beer I’ve ever had - if you can really call this a wheat beer. I don’t think 3Fs can make a mediocre brew. MrManning (1659), London, Ontario, Canada

Sparkling gold, topped by a fizzy white head, which lasts a while, and leaves some pretty nice lacing. Scads of grapefruit and hops in the aroma. Mild pine aromas as well. Bitter hops and cirtus flavours, orange rind acidity, semi sweet malt to balance out the bitterness. Pretty damn good. Crisp and refreshing. Thanks again TIm! Marsiblursi (1659), Göteborg, Sweden

Piny, rasiny aroma with some canned pears, orange and cloves. Spicy and sweet. Hints of yeast and malt but no wheat. Wellbalanced, lingering bitterness in flavour with a minty touch. Round and smooth, allmost silky mouthfeel. Some fruityness and small, sweet malty notes. Small to medium body. Very Three Floyd-ish. Very easy to drink. Very nice. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2009 Sampled at the Second Cellar Reduction. We entered into this very warily, due to the 2003 vintage. Clear gold pour with thin white head. Nose of vanilla honey and wheat. Flavor is wheaty, with a grassy hop and some citrus. Medium body with medium carbonation. This held up surprisingly well for being 6 years old!
