Commercial Description:
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Check out Skingraft Comics and Records at <a href=http://www.skingraftrecords.com>SkingraftRecords.com. Cheers!

Interesting brew. Pours a cloudy orangey amber with an off white head. Aroma is very hoppy and grassy. Taste is mildly sweet and spicy with a lot of hops, lemon/citrus and some wheat. Light herbal and grassy brew with good malt backing. Imagine an IPA with a slight wheat beer feel. Mouthfeel is full, round and light without being watery. Aftertaste is very mildly bitter. Good stuff.

Pours orange, slightly hazy, with a large foamy/sudsy white head. Candied wheat malt, citrus, grapefruit and some spices in the aroma. Sweet and bitter with too much alcohol showing for something thats only 4.8%. A little bit salty and some bubblegum flavor. Average palate, slightly sticky. Not nearly as good as I would have thought by how fast it flies off the shelf. [Had this on tap at the Map Room.. .and it was much better than the bottle pour... ]

22 oz bomber. Poured suprisingly clear for a wheat beer with an average size head. Aroma was sweet with hints of malt, candy, light lemon and as it warmed only a hint of wheat. Flavor was very smooth and balanced but once again was missing the wheat for the most part. This is a good beer but I would of liked to see the wheat a bit stronger in it.

On tap at The Rotten Apple. A wheat ale that finishes almost like an IPA. Quite tart throughout with edges smoothed out by the wheat. Plenty of citrus in both the nose and flavor that includes lemon. A fine beer by any standard.

Golden yellow color. Hazy after the pour but quickly clearing. No head. Attractive citrus aroma, smooth refreshing palate. Mild citrus flavor. This didn’t have that off-putting wheat character that I can’t stand. This was delicious and very easy drinking. Easily my favorite wheat.

Tap at Brewtopia. The litttle cousin of Alpha King and Dreadnaught. Clear golden White head. Awesome fresh hop aroma. Cean crisp and light flavor, with gentle bitterness and hop flavor. Very refreshing.

cheers goes to Mgumby for this one! Has alot of barley wine characteristics, hints of molasses and caramel. Pours blonde with a white head. The 4.8% surprises me! I thought this was a wheat wine from the taste! Which is great, tons of flavor with lower alcohol.
