Commercial Description:
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Check out Skingraft Comics and Records at <a href=http://www.skingraftrecords.com>SkingraftRecords.com. Cheers!

Thanks to STFun for the bottle, number #1100. Pours a light hazy gold with a thin white head. Citrusy orange hop aroma with hints of wheat. Light crispy wheat malt taste with a nice citrus hop bitterness. Crisp refreshing wheat ale, excellent.

Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy gold color with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit and floral hops. Flavor was grapefruit and wheat up front, with a grassy hop finish. Medium body with good carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Great beer.

Bottle: good nose, I get a citrus pine combo, more orange on the nose. orange yellow color. small head. well carbonated though. sweet bitter flavors. orange and grapefruit. bitter finish, thinner body. Very tasty. Different than any wheat I've had before. Why isn’t this an IPA? Had on draft at Brewtopia. Score would be 8/3/8/3/17

22 oz bomber. Pours a yellowish golden cloudy color with a thick white head. Aroma is piney with lots of fresh hops present along with lemon citrus and wheat. Flavor is lemony with loads of hops and light wheat. Excellent !!! Another gem from the 3 Floyds brothers.

Hazy gold. Small, frothy, off white head. Nose is wheat and hops, grainy, piney, and citrusy. Smells like a wheat pale ale. Tastes like a wheat pale ale. Hoppy wheat ale- simple, refreshing, excellent. Medium/light body, very easy drinking. Great brew.

golden, lacey white head. aroma of grapefruit, perfume, floral, citrus and lemon hard candy. wjeaty malt flavour, not as hoppy as the nose would suggest. clean lemony and wheaty flavourlight body, soft hoppy finish. a great wheat, but I’d like some gumball flavours if they’re going to call it gumballhead.

1 pint 6 fl oz bottle. Golden and almost clear. Small head that quickly subsides and leaves the beer with only a thin layer of head. What little is there actually does cling to the glass. Lemony sweet hoppy aromas. Clearly a very hoppy wheat beer. Flavours are dominated by the hops. Light bodied, but holds some malts that struggle to stand up against the hop domination. Some sourish notes that help make this a very refreshing beer. Finishes slightly bitter with a dry mouthfeel.

Two toned: light golden at the bottom turns a hazy golden orange/brown at the top. A constant stream of bubbles raises from the bottom of my glass. Large hoppy/grapefruit rind aroma - some nice sweetness as well. Lots of orange and grapefruit flavours, very drinkable, but it is dominated by the hops. . . if you like that you'll enjoy this one.
